My partner and I booked a property viewing, but on arrival we were told we had to wait for a “flash visit” to finish, despite having a confirmed appointment. This felt disorganised from the start.
We were then asked to contact a financial advisor before even being allowed to view the property and sent back into the show home to do this, causing further delay. We weren’t even looking to buy yet, so having to check our credibility at this stage felt extremely judgemental. We were told this is standard procedure, but this hasn’t been our experience elsewhere.
Overall, the process felt unnecessarily long and unwelcoming. As first-time buyers, we also felt the estate agent showed little care or interest in helping us view the property we had booked.
