GoogleOne of the best Letting Agents in Sheffield! The team at Henry Spencer have been prompt in replying to any and all queries over the years, and have been quick to respond to any issues we may have had. Can't fault our experience with them whatsoever and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a rental property!

GoogleBig time wasters. I had applied for a property through this company. I called asking for an update, they promised they would get back to me by the end of the day four times over two weeks. Unsurprisingly, they never got back to me and left me in the lurch about whether I had somewhere to live. Unreliable staff clearly trained to lie on the phone to potential renters.

GoogleI enquired about a house I was really interested to rent, a property that I had previously enquired about which had already been to let. As soon as it came back on the website I enquired and was told I was the first person to call about the property. I filled in the relevant paperwork straight away. Heard nothing. Sent emails. Rang the office. Finally had an answer to say they’d forgotten about my application and they wouldn’t consider me as they were fully booked. No apologies, no offer to show us a similar house. I stayed awake from a night shift as a full time nurse to secure a viewing and made it clear I needed to move out by the end of the month. No care was shown. GoogleQuite disorganised. I was supposed to see 2 properties in the city centre, but on the day, the agent only had the keys for one. It took quite an effort to get a response to my questions about the one I saw though. I was directed to the limited information in their advert, which of course did not provide the information I was seeking.

GoogleExtremely disappointing service and a complete lack of care for tenants. Had a bad experience with mould which was flagged multiple times with mould. Upon moving out the full deposit was withheld even though the property was left in a better state than when moving in. The estate agents have done nothing to support with this. Recommend that others proceed with caution.

GoogleAs a landlord I definitely do not recommend these letting agents. We have been with them for 3 years.They do the basics they have to do but you certainly do not get any extra service. Had a few problems with tenants which they guided us through relatively well but we have caught them out on a few issues. After the last tenancy which we let unfurnished we were confused on what to do with the property but after thinking it through very carefully we decided to let it furnished and to re-market it after tidying it up. We informed them that the property was ready for new photos.They said they would do this for us. 10 days later and we were still waiting ! We collected the keys and went with new letting agents. So glad we did. So professional, enthusiastic, good marketing, great photos. Higher PCM and let agreed in just 4 days ! They did us a favour,and if they treat customers like this they will not have them for long. Better out there I' m afraid.

GoogleIan, Sue, and the team at Henry Spencer offer a fantastic service. My experience of them managing my rental property has been excellent. They frequently went above and beyond to handle any issues that arose, including arranging and overseeing significant maintenance and repair of the property. They have always been quick to respond to any queries or questions, and their hard work resulted in very little lead time between tenancies. I could not have asked for more, indeed a 5-star service!

GoogleI completed the rental application requirements and paid the deposit I was just supposed to sign the lease I wasted a week and stood up all viewing Suddenly, I am informed from office the landlord refused your request because the old tenant was not paying the rent ! ! Irrational excuse I don’t know if my application was rejected due to my name or because there are other tenants I don't think you should trust this type of office

GoogleWe were quite stressed while applying to rent with Henry Spencer, but Harriet (one of the agents) was incredibly patient with us and helped us to put forward our best application, despite probably having to deal with 20+ other applications! So far they have been efficient, honest, and professional. We love our house!

FacebookHave had an absolutely fantastic experience with Henry Spencer - by far have found them the most professional, helpful and attentive agents I have come across in Sheffield. My partner and I just moved into a rental property together. Everyone who dealt with us from Henry Spencer were friendly, explained everything well and treated us with respect (which I have found is not always the case with some other agents in Sheffield, especially if you're young / a student). When we were shown around the property the person doing the viewing noticed where some wallpaper was peeling off and immediately notified the landlord and had it all sorted out by the time we moved in. The inventory was properly and professionally carried out. Have had no problems with anything at all. Have used many agents in Sheffield but would highly, highly recommend Henry Spencer above the rest.

You feel really valued as a tenant and they were also very quick to action the deposit repayment despite the current climate.
