Hi Craig, thanks for your feedback. We’re sorry your definition of 'clean' at the end of your tenancy was not the same as ours. We pride ourselves on moving tenants into clean properties, which is exactly what we did at the start of your tenancy and documented in our schedule of condition. We make no profit from the deduction of your bond which was held and protected by the Deposit Protection Service. In an ideal situation, we would never need to claim from a tenants’ bond, but tickling around the property with a vacuum cleaner at the end of the tenancy doesn’t constitute a full clean, and in our opinion you did not leave the property in an acceptable condition for the next tenant. As is often the case in our role as managing agent, it’s difficult to please everybody all of the time as we have a very happy incoming tenant but at the cost of a disgruntled outgoing tenant.
