Dave, at Carruthers & Luck, has been absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. Dave, has worked so hard in selling my Father-in-law's property, and getting the best price he could for us. He, has kept us in touch, and updated every single week without fail! All the Team are really wonderful, they are super efficient, and very knowledgeable about the current housing market. We chose Carruthers & Luck as they know all the area of Saltdean so well, inside out! Dave, is honest, advises wisely, and tells you exactly how things are progressing. There is no fobbing off, glossing things over, or making excuses about the selling of our Father-in-law's property when things were going slowly, which is truly refreshing in an Estate Agency. We can honestly recommend this Estate Agent without hesitation, and we are pleased with the end result. Thank you, Dave, Steve, & All The Team - you're all hard workers, and simply amazing!

Thanks to Dave and everyone at Curruthers and Luck for all the support with the sale of my flat and purchase of my new home. We hit a few bumps in the road with my original purchase falling through but Dave found me an even better property and I couldn’t be happier. Dave didn’t only act as my estate agent, he was on the phone with solicitors daily chasing up paperwork and trying to speed things along. Honestly couldn’t have got through the past couple of months without him and the C&L team! Highly recommend.

Having moved house 8 times I wasn't looking forward to the hassle involved with another splendid house move, but I have to say that this last sale and move was the easiest I have encountered, made easy by the very professional way viewings and all follow up were handled by Steve and his team at their Saltdean office. Carruthers and Luck have been extremely helpful during our flat purchase which was delayed due to the fault of the seller’s solicitor. Throughout this process we have primarily dealt with Dave and Steve, who were able to answer any questions that we had and were consistently chasing the seller’s solicitor on a daily basis. Dave and Steve were very understanding of our situation; they remained professional and responsive throughout the entire process, despite it continuing much longer than anticipated by any of the parties. We are extremely grateful and thankful to Dave and Steve and also to Andrew who initially showed us the flat and assisted on a few occasions when Dave and Steve were on leave. I dont know about professionalism but these guys are profilers. Like they actually do profile you before giving you a property. I know about two other persons that have experienced this. The moment i went for the viewing, i knew i wasn't getting the house because it is obvious my sister and i were profiled even though we met the neccessry requirements and had the capacity to pay for the property. I will not recommend especially if you're a person of colour. This is my own experience

I'm shocked at how this agency decides if someone is capable of renting a property based on there wage bracket . Taking salary and x 30% gives them the outcome of what someone can afford. We live in a time where by most of us just about survive , we have to live in a ln extremely tight budget . This is just how it has to be , and I would not take on something I would not think possible. I even had a guarantor earning up to £60k , and a reference of 4.5 years in same property, with no pause on payments as a lone parent in a pandemic - I survived and made sure my rent was paid. This company thinks given my wage I can only afford a property of up to £1k . We live in Brighton, you can't even get a studio flat for this price - let alone the 2 X bed I need for me and my child . I'm outraggeed by the lack of care , and understanding for individuals different situations by this company . Very inconsiderate indeed.

I was firstly impressed by the response I had recieved from a member of the team who had asked me to get back in touch at a later date due to the Covid 19 restrictions. However last week on getting back in contact with the agent and further having someone transferring me to the lettings department to someone who was dealing with the property in question. I got put through to someone whom sounded unbelievably rude and as if he was being bothered being on the phone. He put me on hold several times as he did not know any details in response to the questions I had about the property he was supposedly meant to be handling and to my disappointment the call was a waste of my time and even telling me he would call back to provide me with more details. I did not receive any response to which am quite glad in a way as after the phone call I began to have my doubts about this letting agent and if they can be trusted and what would happen if I were to take on a property from them. Also the few bits of information that he managed to get after putting me on hold after pretty much each question I asked was answered with contradiction as to the actual advert of the property on the website. Following this I wouldn't recommend such an unprofessional ill mannered service.NegativeProfessionalism
