Cowboy, unprofessional and no moral estate agents who uprooted our lives and evicted us in lockdown because we enquired about a rent freeze.
We lived in the property for 4 years & planned to be there 4 more. When calling C&R to enquire if a rent freeze for a year would be possible. Instead of just saying ‘no thats not possible’ they proceeded to shout at me on the phone, ask me ‘where did you get that idea from’ and threatened to raise our neighbours rent in response. (We were close with our neighbours)
They then served us an eviction notice to vacate the property. Why? We had always paid on time and never caused any issues, we looked after the property like it was out own.
The eviction was sent on a Sunday, the day the law changed from minimum 6 month to 3 months eviction notice. So this was a planned eviction to give us as little time.
Ontop of that, they tried to sting us with classic cowboy estate agent deposit fees, like £100 for bin bags to empty the outdoor black bin, which was actually for the bin men to do.
The deposit protection scheme luckily disagreed with C&R and granted our full deposit back minus a small pre agreed cost.
To round this up, ill never forget the way they treated us for absolutely no reason. The manager has a significant chip on his shoulder that I hope he gets help for.

Basically told don't bother going to view one of there properties because I'm on benefits and I'll be at the bottom of the heap. Welcome to Victorian society. Not the ''vibe'' the landlord is looking for basically meaning not cashed up. Rotten and ruthless
