To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience I have had in purchasing a property from David Wilson Homes in the Ashlawn Gardens development in Rugby. From the outset, the process has been far from smooth. The sales team appeared to be in a rush to finalize the purchase, and as a result, no proper key handover process was followed. Upon receiving the keys, I identified over 100 snagging issues the very next day. Despite the passage of two months, these issues are still being addressed. When I participated in the NHBC survey, I provided honest feedback reflecting my experience. Following this, I received calls from both the sales office and the site team, where the tone of communication was noticeably different from the initial stages of the process. Despite this, I referred my brother to purchase a property in the same development, and he successfully completed his purchase and has since settled in. However, when I recently requested the referral bonus, I received the following response from the David Wilson Homes Sales Division on 30/08/2024: "With reference to your claim for the payment for a recommend a friend referral, I am writing to you to confirm that you now do not qualify for the payment. The recommend a friend referral voucher is for a customer to use when they are happy to recommend Barratt/David Wilson Homes to family or friends. As you have recently completed your NHBC survey and stated NO to recommend, we can no longer honour the referral fee." I am deeply disappointed by this response. It is disheartening to feel that my genuine concerns and discomfort with the purchasing process have been dismissed, and that my feedback in the NHBC survey has been used to deny a referral bonus that I would have otherwise been eligible for. This experience has left me feeling extremely uncomfortable with my decision to purchase a property from David Wilson Homes in UK. It is troubling to see that customer satisfaction and comfort appear to be of little importance. I sincerely hope that my concerns will be taken seriously and that steps will be taken to address the issues I have raised.

We’ve travelled several times to see this site and expressed our interest in some of their 5 bedrooms houses, researched the surroundings, schools, GPs, etc and it all ended up being a waste of time and resources. Although the sales advisers were nice when we went in person over the phone on multiple occasions they said they’d callback with additional information and they never did. We chased it at the start as thought maybe they’ve forgotten or disorganised but given up in the end. Virtually put an offer in, the lady was suppose to speak to legal and get back to us regarding the deposit and she never did, instead their prices went up 2 weeks later and the plot we were interested in is now sold. It’s been quite an unpleasant experience overall!

We bought a house in this development(Spectrum Avenue), we were told it i s end of road cul de sac location, private road used by the four houses in the lane. It is now used by everyone to walk and ride their bikes, requested the development office people to put up a sign that it is private road and only for residents, nothing of that sort happened. When you are selling the property suggesting it is private road and get more money for the property, you should at least put a sign suggesting it is private drive. I feel like I am mis sold and anyone else buying a property in this development should be aware that there is no such thing as private road or cul de sac location in this development. The quality of the house and the after sale service is good though.
