Carla and her team were excellent!! Communication is key as she certainly kept us informed throughout. Marketed Early Feb so a flat time of year but new tenants 2nd week in April so very happy. Everything went smoothly and efficiently. Definitely comes highly recommend from us.

Renting a property through them which I cannot wait to get out of! Was told there are no children, there are 5 right next door! Noise is awful. The smell of weed is in the air most nights. The property is in need of extensive modernisation - unfortunately I didn't appreciate how bad it was until the day I moved in.

Wish I could leave - stars As a student, and as anyone else, 100% avoid JP Lettings, me and my 3 female flatmates are treated very poorly here. The staff have undermined us and our complaints several times, left us without heating for 3months+ , a smoking oven for 6 weeks, unsightly sofas (ripped, broken, cheap and wonky that could be replaced so easily and cheaply for students) and have overall been terrible in maintaining the household in which we are staying. This property has had several faults (some of which are big safety concerns) however the agency has never once responded to us with urgency or a slight amount of care. They have no out of hours or emergency contact numbers (which have been needed several times) and continue to use maintenance workers who clearly dont know what they are doing. Our property has had issues with damp for several months now and only recently have they tried to cheaply have work done. They have been known to ignore calls from us and our parents and always fail to consider issues as important or urgent. The agency has told us before that they have never experienced these issues in this house however we have contact with the old tenants and they have stated that they have been in contact with the agency about these issues during their stay. We had a leaking sink for several weeks and had 3 repair people come visit before having it fixed, the boiler is faulty and error's several times, leaving us with cold water and no heating and they have never addressed it. We have a lightbulb which blew a few months ago however we cannot replace it as it is dangerously out of our reach and the agency has not responded to our request to have it changed, this is the main light in the hallway and leaves the steep stairs dark. One bedroom has particularly bad mould , the walls grew fluffy and you can imagine not wanting to be in that room, breathing in what could be very bad for you. the furniture around the house is damaged and in bad shape, often faulty, and none of the bedrooms came with chairs! How can a landlord rent a student flat with desks and no chairs. The staff seem very unprofessional and seem like they probably hate their jobs, they also act like because we are younger that we will take whatever treatment they give us. I am paying you money to live in a safe working house, as agreed under the contract, and for 6 months it has been the opposite, i have every right to complain.

Good afternoon, Many thanks for your feedback. In response to points raised, we are sorry you feel as though we have let you down. Unfortunately, similarly to when you viewed the property last year, there were no issues, nor had any maintenance problems been raised by previous students who had lived within the property. As previously discussed, we have stressed the importance of keeping the property clean, ventilated and having the heating on regularly during cold weather to ensure the property remains in good working order. Unfortunately, since the beginning of your tenancy we have seen a huge decline in the condition of the property. As a lettings agent, we have done everything within our power to ensure any remedial works are actioned as quickly and efficiently as possible, the property has been re-decorated and had a new cooker and hob installed as a response to your recent requests. In addition to this, I would also like to draw your attention to the ‘Welcome to Your New Home’ booklet that supplies confirmation of our out of hour’s contractor details that was sent to you at the beginning of your tenancy. Please feel free to contact the office should you wish to discuss this further, or need any additional assistance. All the best, JP Lettings & Property Management

My flatmates and I have been repeatedly let down by JP lettings. Not only is the property not what was agreed upon with problems such as damp, mouldy, fluffy walls , faulty electrics and appliances, unkempt furniture and the lack of heating but our complaints have been met with apathy. We have emailed and called them about all the issues several times before hearing back. Our heating was non-existent for three months since the start of our tenancy in August till Late October, and has continued to be a problem throughout as the boiler continues to malfunction. As I am writing this, the main electrics in the flat have tripped for the fourth time leaving us with no heating/hot water in the entire flat and no power on the top floors. It is unfortunate that the electrics have gone off out of office hours but this is when any emergency numbers would have come in handy. This situation has happened before in late november; we had no heating or hot water all weekend due to it be out of office hours. My main concern is that it is near impossible for us to contact and receive help from JP lettings for the many problems the flat has come with. As students our time and energy should not be invested in chasing after the agency hoping we can live in a house that is safe and warm. I regret choosing this property but even more so JP lettings. Wanted to leave 0 stars but can't.

As a professional in my field of work I always want to try and deal with professionals well....if you too want to be treated with courtesy or just a simple smile then don’t look at JP Lettings. We went to visit 7 Besacar Avenue today and arrived at our time of 12pm. No one in the property and no one to show us around. Around 10 minutes late the property “expert” arrived and without a smile or an apology for being late gave us a business card (and another couple) and told us they wouldn’t walk around with us and if we had any questions we should email her.....let me remind you this rental is close to £1,000 a month so maybe tenants might want to ask a question In person! Then to top it off the “expert” then brought the wrong keys all the way from Ruddington and we couldn’t even view the property or get in for that matter! She simply said “the landlords changed the locks” which is nonsense as why would a landlord lock out his property manager? My biggest point here is the “expert” should’ve arrived at the property 30 mins before, Could’ve sorted the lock issue, removed the ladders to the roof (which clearly shows the property has a roofing problem) and then been there at 12pm (our appointment time) with the heating on to ask questions. Needless to say we won’t look at anything JP let out now.

I am very sorry to hear of your bad experience yesterday. My colleague did advise us of this issue in the office as soon as she got into her car. Her only thoughts were that the locks may have been changed as she has never had a problem getting into the property before with those keys. She tried to call the landlord with you present, to collect a spare set of keys, without luck, so asked for the office to call to rearrange the appointment. I can see you are re-booked in to view next week? After further investigation, it appears the lock was actually faulty and as a result, they have been changed this morning. It wouldn't be expected for us to arrive 30 minutes early and unfortunately, we were not made aware about a roofer being at the property either. Please feel free to call us on 0115 828 4760 to discuss this further and confirm whether you'd like to view next week. If you're available sooner we will be more than happy to accommodate. We apologise again.

Have a friend that's moved into one of the properties, the property is really nice minus a few faults including a shower that's not been put together properly, the window doesn't lock properly and the biggest issue of all is that they signed the contract, moved in, got a call regarding the internet and was told it is going to be throttled to 4MBs and I quote "to not expect to be able to watch HD video" this should have been specified since it's not negotiable and is an absolute joke for a properly in Nottingham City centre that's priced £520 a month for a double room! This needs to be addressed asap as that speed in 2017 is completely useless and barely works for even the simplest of entertainment.

Hello, I am unsure which property this is in reference to as we have not received any maintenance reports or complaints that relate to these issues. It would be helpful if your friend, the named tenant could report these issues directly to our office and we can get them resolved. Leaving a negative review when the matter hasn't even been reported to us is not very fair. Thankyou Jp lettings

I own several rented properties ( one being a seven bed HMO ) I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to all the team for all their help and advice given to us. It’s of the upmost importance that I can rely upon a professional body, knowing that I can trust you especially when it comes to delegating maintenance personnel out to us. Not all our students have been the ‘desired tenants’ we set out gain, (to be fair just two! ) these proved to be credit worthy but standards of living left us somewhat bemused, frustrated and angry at the level of filth they chose to live in. Their personal room being the rooms in question) The correct procedure as you say is regular checks. Thanks again to you and your team. One puts faith in a company not really knowing what to expect, but I have to say your assistance to us has been invaluable.

If you are a student avoid JP lettings. Were treated very poorly throughout our tenancy, we were treated like children and did not receive the expected standard of service. Multiple times they allowed personel onto our property without warning, multiple maintence calls were not dealt with. And we even accidently received a email sent by the BRANCH MANAGER reffering to me and my fellow tennants as ‘thick’. Utterly the worst experience and do not recommend for students at all.

JP Lettings have been the most helpful and proactive agents that we have ever used. We asked them to find tenants in Sept 2015 - the process took less than 2 weeks and was so straightforward. We have since let another property through JP in June 2016; again the process was very quick and we found communication to be excellent. We send a huge thanks to the staff for their efforts.

JP Lettings managed several properties for us and we have been delighted with the service they have provided. It is professional providing a complete range of services for us but also with a level of personal service we have not found at other agents. As we are not local to Nottingham this has been a great benefit for us and we would thoroughly recommend them.

Excellent service. Jodie took on our property and had a let agreed within a week taking care to ensure we had a good tenant and made sure every box was ticked in a very professional manner. Very competitive rates and a much more personal service than many of the larger letting agents in Nottingham.

Helpful until something needs fixing then it’s suddenly everyone else including the landlords fault. A certain person in the office unable to accept criticism for such poor service and would rather terminate a call than deal with your problems.

Dealing with JP lettings was reliable, the property I rented through them, however, was in poor condition, though that is not their fault but that of the landlord for the property.
