Bought my property with bairstow eves and highly recommend them. Craig was brilliant dealing with the purchase and went above and beyond to ensure the sale was completed. I had a strange sale due to unexpected circumstances and Craig was fundamental in ensuring my purchase still progressed. Craig's deep understanding of situations that can occur during a sale or purchase means even a tricky situation is easily dealt with. We're very happy in our new home. Thank you! She guided us step-by-step, was always available for calls, and kept us updated every single day. We always knew exactly where we stood. Poor quality viewings and service

The Clapham branch sales negotiator was late for the viewing and didn’t ask anyone from the office to notify us (15 minutes late). He had also double booked the appointment, the entire booking was a bit of a disorganised mess. There was a fair bit he wasn’t aware of and generally wasn’t that helpful. The specifications I gave weren’t followed in the viewings. I was ignored when asked if I wanted a broker and my contact information was shared when I had asked for it not to.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service, they come across very professional when they value the house, but once its on the market the staff are unhelpful and take days to answer emails. The details were incorrect online as it was put live without us agreeing the details, the pictures were awful and the one thing we did make them change. There has been no effort to sell the house, only having one viewer in two months. Only to find out that the contract is for 4 months too, devastated. Stay away from this company.

Caroline Stockdale has helped us immensely in buying our first property. She has always been at hand to answer any of our questions and as first time buyers we have a lot, but she has made it clear that no question is silly/stupid. Because of Caroline she has made us feel so much more at ease and has taken away any stress/concern we had. Overall we were very happy with the service provided to us, we really struggled with our chain of four and we were at the top of the chain due to buying an empty house. They were chasing twice a day towards the end of the sale, there was good comunitcation regarding the progress and all delays where from the bottom of the chain, so Claire and her team were chasing other agents and solictiors. only one comment would be that two of the people we were dealing with at the branch left during our sale but this wasnt comunicated very clearly so at some point was hard to know who our point of contact was. but only a minor point. other than that very happy! thank you.

I have recently placed my parents property on the market with the Rayleigh branch of Bairstow Eves and although it hasn't sold yet I felt compelled to share my experience so far. From the initial call I have been treated with compassion and understanding as it is such a difficult thing to sell your family home. Peter initially dealt with everything but has now moved on but Gracie has been helping with the sale and has showed real enthusiasm for the house and has kept me updated regularly by phone and email which has been great, she tells me what she is doing to make the sale happen and updates me straight away if she speaks to any potential buyers, she is a real credit to the branch. Claire and Emma have been really helpful, professional and friendly when I have visited and Caroline put me in touch with a broker who arranged property cover at a very reasonable price. I have been so impressed with the whole team and would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you all. P.S. Now fingers crossed for a sale!

DO NOT TRUST BAIRSTOW EVES, Property Rented Without a Valid Licence

I am writing this to warn other families. My family and I have experienced nothing but stress and chaos since renting a property through Bairstow in May 2026.After moving in, we discovered to our horror that the property was let without a valid property licence. When we raised this serious legal issue, the agency completely absolved themselves of responsibility, blaming the landlord. Under UK housing law, letting agents have a strict legal duty to verify and ensure proper licensing is in place before letting a property.The customer service at this branch is shockingly unprofessional. Particular staff members, Mehmet, Rejaul, and Exene, are completely evasive. They take weeks to respond to emails and refuse to answer the phone. On the rare occasion we do manage to speak to them over the phone, they make empty promises to send over details, only to go completely silent and ignore all subsequent emails.Avoid Bairstow at all costs if you value your peace of mind and legal safety. They take your money and completely abandon their legal obligations.

Information was sparse, not clear and if we had all the information we should have had we would not have accepted the offer and kept the house on the market. I have used Bairstow eves to manage my property for the last two years. However the deliverables that were set out when signing the agreement were not met, from increasing rent annually according to market rent, to making sure that licenses were in place throughout the two year let. I have both times went out and got the gas certification and then sent it over to them myself, this was a managed service and Ideally they should have provided this service if not a reminder at least.

Just for clarity, we were the buyer, not the client of Bairstow Eves. That said, they were very professional in all of our dealings. We put in our offer and Craig ensured that we would be in a position to complete, which resulted in our offer being accepted. Very poor communication & unprofessional experience. I would not recommend using the Cannock branch. Lack of dedicated service to sell a property when we are the paying customers, no faith in them doing anything they say, if you can get in touch with them the right person will never be there and they will be blame it on someone else.
