From our initial call to ask for a valuation to the completion of our sale, the team at Dacre Son and Hartley have been absolutely first class. There has been great communication from Claire, Jack and Andy, they have kept us informed about everything that has been going on with the sale, liasing with solicitors another local estate agent ( who could learn alot from these guys!). Their dedication, commitment to their clients and their professionalism has been in evidence throughout this whole process and they have worked tirelessly on our behalf; it is a shame that I can only leave 5 stars. Thank you to the whole Ripon team and their Surveyor Mr Briggs, I highly recommend you all.

We have just sold a property through Dacre Son and Hartley and the process with the company was the best we have experienced. Claire and Jack were outstanding in their attention to detail as was Omar the photographer. Without their input we would never have exceeded the asking price. Throughout the process they were accessible on every occasion and were able to offer assistance with our purchase, without their input the chain could have fallen apart on two occasions. Would highly recommend Dacres of Ripon if you are thinking of selling your home. Claire the manager and her colleague Jack are just brilliant they are so helpful and so friendly. Without them I wouldn’t have got through the sale of my home they helped me all the way with paper work I didn’t understand and nothing was too much trouble to them they always made me feel welcome when I called into find answers to some of my paper work and have a chat and a laugh. The home we bought was on sale through Dacres. They were professional, friendly and very helpful. They maintained communications between all the parties involved which was very helpful as there were some difficult circumstances involved. They clearly knew the house before they took us to view it so were able to answer most questions on the spot and follow up questions were answered promptly. All in all a professional service which helped at what can be a stressful time.

I cannot praise Claire, Jack and Andrew enough at the Ripon Branch of Dacre Son & Hartley. They are all proficient in their roles, very pleasant to communicate with, keeping us up to date with feedback or any other matters. Made to feel like they actually cared and was told we could ring anytime with any concerns and they’d try and help. Was also pleased that they do work on weekends, where many agents don’t. Would highly recommend. Staff in at the West Park office (thanks Jen and Amie) were very professional, helpful and did exactly what was promised. Throughout the viewing process they kept us up to date, always had a named contact who was prompt to respond to questions. When it came to completing the sale - we had many issues agents in the chain and solicitors, however Jen and Amie chased up, kept us informed and I felt were always working in our best interests.

I don't usually do reviews but here I'll make an exception. We put our trust in Claire Tiplady who manages Dacre's Ripon Office and were not disappointed. When she valued our property we were sceptical about her suggested figure, which was higher than we expected, and questioned it. Claire explained her reasoning and was able to justify it to our satisfaction. She also talked to us about the pros and cons of when to go to market as we were in the fortunate position of being able to make that choice. The photos and the marketing brochure (we insisted on a glossy brochure) were excellent. In fact Dacres sold the house three times - the first decided they'd been too hasty after a week, the second sadly, lost their own buyer who died, and the third were a lovely couple who now live there happily with their young son (and have become our friends!). Every buyer offered a lower figure and on Claire's advice, each time she pressed for the asking price and achieved it. Really we couldn't have asked for more, and the five stars are well deserved.

Sold house via Dacres, not a fast process from them, took ages to upload our home on different websites. Sara was the best, more helpful then anyone else there. We been advised the house will be available on different websites inc: Right move etc, on some websites the house not appeared. also been told we will get shoe cover (never got it). been told we potentially can get 200-215 for the house and once we received the first offer of 195 benn told to accept this as we won't get anything better. Not a great service. Not using Morley service again

A disappointing service

Such a disappointing service from Dacres. Getting to the point of having your home valued is a big thing, especially in the current climate. And having worked hard on making significant improvements to the house, the descriptions received by the valuer were unfair, mostly negative and insulting. There was a lot of talking and very little listening. Realistic and constructively critical comments are one thing, insults are another and there are ways in which you can support and guide a potential vendor without making them feel so uncomfortable and upset in the process. Sadly, this isn't an estate agent I would either recommend or use based on this. I am being generous with two stars. And a bit better response than “please give us a call to discuss” might have been helpful. E.g. who do I call? on what number?

Terrible service

Terrible service, unethical and will screw you over as a buyer as soon as look at you. Had an issue with our sale, but they stated they'd keep the chain together. They didn't, they have said they were contacted by someone who found out, but there was no need to do this. We were back procedable by the Wednesday. On the Thursday EVENING they showed the property again, having never informed us this was happening.

I really can’t thank the team at Dacre Son & Hartley Morley enough for the way in which they recently handled the sale of my late mums property. From the initial valuation all the way through to completion they were professional, proactive and extremely supportive. But more importantly they cared - about mum and dads home, and about the family. Communications were excellent, honest and nothing was too much trouble. I have moved homes a few times over the years and I have never experienced such a caring and professional service from an Estate Agent. Would highly recommend without question.

Don't make the same mistake 15 others did?

Dacre, Son & Hartley a firm: NOT TO BE TRUSTED... To PRC, This says it all, everyone else is to blame, then to add insult to injury - he has the audacity to suggest in his account - apology I, "have been down this route before"!!! This just shows the contempt with which he treats people - I do thank God that we were not involved with them from the moment he failed to advise the house had already been SOLD the day before we were supposed to view it but, failed to tell us until it was toooo late!!! We were on the doorstep. But, on one point he is right. In my 66 years on this planet I have been down this route before many times - witnessing 1st hand the effect of "cowboy operations" like his destroy other peoples misplaced trust with an operation which is supposed to be there to represent them - and in this case and at least 15 other documented cases FAILED to do so MISERABLY They ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED - Take it from me you don't want to find out just how inept they really are..

Sharp Practice

As per the 15+ negative reviews already written about this so called Agency NOTHING has changed. Thank God that due to their sharp practice I a cash buyer was not even disclosed to the seller nor afforded a viewing of the property I wished to purchase. I was told," Don't bother going to the house it's just been sold". I was 2miles from the house on the Date and Time agreed for my "Viewing" !!!! It transpired it was sold the day before and they didn't have the courtesy to tell me nor the owner who wanted a "Cash Buyer" NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!!!!

She came to our new address and apologised for the day I spoke with her. She was so kind and brought us a moving in bottle of Prosecco.
