Shaun, Steve and Jane from Urban Moves, were brilliant from the very beginning. After my first Email, Shaun invited me to the viewing and immediately responded to queries. At the next stage, Steve contacted me about the documentation side, again Steve was very responsive and helpful. Once it went to the next stage, Jane was excellent at keeping track and contacted me and my solicitor at various stages to ensure progress. Jane also refunded the initial admin fee upon completion without me asking. All of the above happened through their processes. This means I didn't need to keep chasing for information or ask about the next stage as they had it all in hand and kept me informed. Most correspondence was done by Email which suited me well. Thank you Urban Moves for helping me get my first property.

There is no possible way to talk to a human. In the past they told me I am not eligible to buy a property in UK and whitin next few months I purchased my flat from another estate agent. I don't know why they lied to me. I have emails to prove that when I requested a viewing for a property in hounslow London. For another property in Birmingham I asked if the property is wheelchair friendly and I never got an answer.

USELESS. Had to use them to sell my shared ownership property as the Housing Association A2Dominion appoint them. Never experienced such an awful service. Constantly chasing for updates, not once did they ever pick up the phone and call me. Whenever I rung them I found Steve to be extremely arrogant, as if it was a chore that I was selling my property through them for which they would get a fee from A2Dominion for. Shaun was the main point of contact and every time I rung there was either no eligible applicants or he would tell me that applicants were being referred to their financial adviser. Never did he email or call me first to tell me the situation with the applicants or who they were. They had 8 weeks to find a buyer and failed miserably. The ongoing uncertainy is understandable but the service was diabolical. I’m in the conveyancing field and we usually get barraged by Estate Agents trying to push deals through. Urban Moves simply don’t care about making a sale. I’m now entitled to instruct a local agent and will be doing so with immediate effect. Had to give 1 star but even that is generous.

The team were all very professional and kept us up to date with everything going on and even explaining bits along the way when we were unsure what was happening next (first time selling) I would get emails from Jane outside of her working hours and Steve even emailed when on vacation with info on how things were going during the selling process. Urban Moves were absolutely fantastic! From the moment they took on the marketing of my shared ownership flat, through to supporting and advising me with regards to my Housing Association - they were absolutely fantastic! Not only were they quick to set up viewings, they then very kindly supported my buyer throughout the process and even kept on top of our sale throughout, to ensure our sale was as quick and as smooth as it possibly could be. I couldn't recommend these guys enough! They clearly know the landscape, having sold numerous shared ownership properties and having worked with a number of different Housing Associations, so their experience and advice really helps the selling process. A special shoutout to Shaun (who helped at the start in getting my flat sold) and Jane (who helped get the sale to completion). Both superstars! :-)

I cannot express my gratitude enought for the help, support and guidance we gained from urban moves throughout our moving process. It was our first home so of course we knew nothing and I asked a different/silly question almost every day and was always reassured by them. They were also very accommodating when it came to arranging viewings at times that suited us, even evenings! An incompetent company that you should avoid at all costs ❌❌❌ I was forced to try and sell a shared ownership flat via Urban Moves as per my nomination agreement with the housing association but this lot are useless. Couldn’t sell water to a thirsty millionaire. They have fundamental flaws in processes, zero ownership, won’t pick up the phone and need constant chasing for no results. I dealt with “sales manager” Steve who was at times unbearable and unpleasantly arrogant to deal with while also being utterly useless. Fittingly referred to by all parties outside Urban Moves as ‘useless Steve’ I had to remove him from my case as I couldn’t deal with his incompetence any longer and knew he was the wrong man for the job. Ended up sacking Urban Moves off altogether and went with an estate agent who’s simply better in all avenues. Anyway AVOID this lot at all costs if you want to sell your property.

I was recently transferred by Clarion Housing to Urban Moves for the sale of my shared ownership flat. Jane Parker has been absolutely wonderful and prompt. Unprofessional, and uninterested in rectifying their mistakes. The Property Ombudsman needs to investigate. Very slow to reply to e-mail and still not taking phone calls an entire YEAR into the pandemic. They claim to treat applicants fairly but fail to do so. The managing director Jane Baker is disinterested on e-mail, and doesn’t follow the Ombudsman’s Guidelines. The various review sites are full of complaints, I suggest more take them to the Ombudsman, as I will be doing. When a company director fails to understand their obligations that is the only sensible next step!

We were a little bit sceptical after reading a lot of negative reviews about Urban Moves, but as a buyer on a shared ownership property we were very satisfied, especially with Steve. The whole process was very straightforward from our viewings to financial assessment, and even when we had a delay on some forms we needed to produce which was holding everything up, Steve was very patient and understanding. Our purchase is now going through so thank you Urban Moves.
