As a tenant, my experience with the Hamptons Lettings team has been one of absolute excellence in service and support. Melanie and Nigel (as well as other standouts such as Ashlea and Abby) have been accommodating and prompt in dealing with any issues as they arise, and the team as a whole has shown remarkable compassion, flexibility, and an ability to consistently deliver above expectations in assisting me to find and settle into a new home. I can confidently state that I have never experienced such a high level of professionalism and customer service from a letting agency as I am currently receiving from Hamptons.

DO NOT PAY FOR THE HAMPTONS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SERVICEThe Hamptons property management service is one of the worse I have come across. False promises, incompetent staff and phones that are never answered.Over winter, we were left without hot water and heating with two young children for over 5 days. The room temperature went down to 13oc. We have also been left without electricity for 4 days as it was “not an emergency” for our account manager. On the subject of account managers, I think I’m on my fourth or fifth in two years.Everything with the property management service is a battle - from acknowledging the emails through to even picking up the phone. I have to constantly explain and re explain the issues. They have left issues in the property I am in for so long that the ceiling collapsed through. Even when my bathroom flooded with over 5 inches of water, I called the emergency line and it was “not deemed an emergency” I am left exasperated every time I have to get something fixed it is like going in to battle. I would never ever use - as a tenant I am subjected to the pain.

If you decided to use it, better don’t: you would need to do all the job, pay them, and never get any responsibility for their actions. They “agreed” with landlord to let a clean property, but neither cleaning, nor maintenance happened, and now the landlord drains our pockets for his crappy flat

West Hampstead branchThis branch seemingly work on behalf of faceless companies (Countrywide) that seem capable of taking your property without the legal right to do so.(court or bailiff judgements or any paperwork legally allowing them to do so or even contacting the owner of the property) and seems to use very questionable methods and tactics in order to remove your tenents,gain unlawful entry to your property including a hand written sign in your window,therefore breaking and entering seemingly without the correct or in fact any legal court paperwork in order to allow them to do so.They put pressure on you to sell and don't provide you with any legal court judgement at all to explain their actions. They then seemingly dispose and destroy your property and make you homeless without any explanation. Even if you are paying your mortgage monthly in full. This is a disgusting and unethical way to do business and they seem to do the dirty work of other equally unethical companies and could not care about anyone but themselves and give you no explanations for their actions. Unacceptable behaviour and shocking treatment.

Poor service & communication from start to finish but the main issues were the under valuation that was based on a visit 12/18 months previously. My request to increase the price was described by the estate agent as "unrealistic" yet it turned out to be accurate. To the end of sale - the buyer was in the house before I even new completion had taken place. The only reason I give this 2 stars is because of a staff member Sara, who was professional and sensitive to our divorce sale but sadly I had very little dealings with her. I never did get an explanation as to why my ex had been contacted by Hamptons and not myself, surley it is simple courtesy? but this was the case all along regardless of my reminders. A complaint through the relevant channels just got bounced back to the branch with no resolve.

I have a very terrible experience with this company in St .Albans ! I was cheated by the salesman Sujad Hussain which told me to add the property buying offer is just for his favour or owner , not me ! Actually he didn’t fully notify me what the seller’s reply for my offer negotiations so , at the meantime,the other buyers keep on viewing the property even the seller get my offer ! ( this offer was told by this salesman said which seller request this amount) After my offer failure , this salesman told me that there was buyer offer higher to the sellers and actually the seller told him that the offer he told me to put was ONLY JUST MINIMUM REQUIREMENT for his consideration before he make the decision …OMG …my offer to seller is just for fun…if he told me before the whole story , I will sure change this offer ..I couldn’t imagine a salesman quality like this company…..
