You start your journey meeting Bill Bannister who has been in the market for many many years. He is endearing and puts you at ease and then when he hands over to his dedicated team it just goes from strength to strength! All the team are lovely to deal with but Jane was an absolute star. It is a very stressful process and she was so patient with me during the most frustrating areas of this journey. She gets on the phone and sorts things out and is very pragmatic with her approach. If you use them alongside Thurstan Hoskin solicitors they really do make a dream team. Thanks Jane, you are still my favourite!

I rented a flat for 8 months, which turned out to have a VERY bad black mould problem. Bill Bannister denied any problem, despite evidence from myself and the last tenant, the. Allowed the landlord to blame it on me when I left, even though I left it cleaner than I had found it. They also didn’t fight my corner when I had a faulty wood burner for the first 5 months (main source of living room heating). They NEVER fought my corner. Useless.

My husband and I bought our home through Bill Banister so eventually decided to sell through them too . The staff in his agency kept me sane through the whole process - which is very stressful , Trudy and Jane were just amazing , they always had a friendly voice to support me on the end of the phone and were extremely efficient with assisting any of our needs . All i can say about this collective of awful people (i use the word people very lightly), is that they have no human kindness or decency about them. In 2021 my mum and myself were unfairly evicted, after being told we would be safe in the property we were renting. Never missed a months rent and took care of the property. In june they told us we would have to leave the property. Fair enough, so we started looking and found a lovely place in truro. We looked at it and were going through the application process. This was in july. Then in august bill bannister came to us and said the landlady changed her mind, that we were ok. So we stayed where we are, saves moving our stuff and changing agents. Roll on to the 1st of october and a letter drops through the door. October the 1st 2021, was when we were evicted, when the law changed on evicting people. At the same time as the renting crisis. The stress of it all put my mum in hospital for 6 months. She was never the same after that and died in january of this month. I owe the passing of my mum, to the stress of what bill bannister unfairly did to her. They gave support to the landlady even when they lied and falsely claimed for items on the deposit that shouldn't have been on there. Dont put you're trust in bill bannister, they will only let you down. Ps I hate you bill bannister and all the souless ghouls that work for you. You're awful people.

I have had mixed dealings with Bill Bannister. It is the result of 2 failed house purchases. The first property when I went for my 2nd viewing I was not told of any other interested parties resulting in my offer the next morning not being entertained. Though it is law that alloffers have to be passed to the vendor. I approached the vendor personally though I quite sure this was not appreciated by the agent at all. The 2nd property the process seamed to be dragged out buy both sides myself and the vendor and I feel the agent could have tried to hurry things allong sooner. The sale eventually fell through due to an unforeseen issue with my finances that could not be helped. Jane was particularly good at the end trying to sell the surveys I had payed for and no longer needed. Unforchantly this did not work out too.

Review of sales. My wife and I have used Bill Bannister for the sale of two properties in the last couple of years, and had a good experience with both. One buyer pulled out part way through, and the team were very quick in getting it back on the market quickly and helping to find a new buyer. When problems have arisen, the team have been quick to inform us and help to address them. With one property in particular, I felt they went above and beyond what would be the expected level of service. We've had dealings with a range of estate agents over the last couple of years, for various reasons, and I would say that Bill Bannister was the best experience by far.

The moment you become a tenant they are rude and hostile towards you. I've rented of them twice with ten years between experiences and whilst they have new members of staff, they've not changed. Am currently in a bedsit of which there are nine in this building, nobody has a single good thing to say about them and my experience of their rudeness and hostility seems to be a repeated experience.

If we were selling or buying again in the Redruth area there is no doubt we'd use Bill Banister again. Bill came around to have the valuation chat originally. He was extremely clear, relaxed and there was absolutely no hard sell which we appreciated. Bill and his team's knowledge of the local area is second to none (e.g. past mining activities, staff live locally, etc.). We did originally try to sell with another local agent and weren't impressed with their local knowledge or service (SC). Right to the end the service from Bill Banister's was superb and we've now got our perfect home in part due to the their help. We sold our house in less than a week and Bill Banister's made it stress-free. I would whole-heartedly entrust Bill Banister's with any sale/purchase in the Redruth area above anyone else.

Sellers Beware. We are buyers. We found a great Bungalow in Park Bottom and emailed Bill Bannister to view, we then called to book a viewing. We were at first asked when we wanted to view, all great to point. We were told all our slots were not available. So just got the first slot they could find (which was 2 days later). At the site we waited, bang on the agreed viewing slot we received a call to confirm the viewing. We assumed this meant the Agent had forgotten. After another 30 minutes wait we called the office again. The lady told me there had been a mistake. They had booked us against the wrong property. Worse still, they had accepted an offer on the bungalow we wanted to view the previous day and were not prepared to let us view or to put our offer forward. So if your thinking of selling your house, I would find an alternate agent, one that is capable of booking people in to see the correct house. One that is capable of acknowledging requests to view your house and one that is able to pass all offers to you. This agent is incapable of any of these.

Unfortunately the dealings I have had with the letting side of the business has been nothing short of disgraceful. They run a very shoddy organisation. Tenants wait months for repairs to be carried out, they refuse to allow tenants to contact the owners to let them know whats going on when they wont rectify the situation. Most tenants 'shut up and put up' as they are afraid of being thrown out. Properties hardly ever checked by agent and often left in an appalling state. Very much a case of 'take the money' and do nothing for it. Owners and tenants alike...BEWARE.
