Aaron Turner at Strutt and Parker - excellent sales agent and negotiator

We don’t normally write reviews, but in this case, my wife and I were so impressed and happy with the service provided by Strutt and Parker, and in particular by Aaron Turner, that I felt I should, in the true spirit of reviews, to offer help to those who are seeking insight into Strutt and Parker! We selected Strutt and Parker because we liked the clear market insights and the realistic approach to marketing our house, offered by Aaron Turner at our initial meeting. Once selected Aaron Turner was directly responsible for acting on our sale, but he did so much more, working to coordinate agents and solicitors above and below us in the chain, as well as keeping communications open and frequent with our buyers even when things went temporarily wrong in the chain. Friendly, calm, sensible, frequent and reliable communication from Aaron, what more could be desired?

Best estate agent we have dealt with

We have just exchanged contracts on a house marketed by Strutt & Parker, and Aaron Turner has been a delight to work with. Although he was acting for the vendor, he invested more time and energy in keeping our purchase moving than our own estate agents did with our sales. He is calm, measured, experienced, and a great communicator. When my partner’s sale fell through and we had to pull out of the chain temporarily, Aaron was constructive and realistic about the steps needed to get things moving again quickly. Today we exchanged not only on our purchase, but also on the sales of both our properties, and Aaron has kept up momentum behind the scenes by proactively contacting all parties involved. Having experienced good, mediocre and poor estate agents in the past, Aaron, and by extension Strutt & Parker, stands out as the best we have dealt with.

We considered all the local agents when selling our house and Strutt & Parker were definitely the right choice. Notably, during the valuation, we were given an honest assessment of our home. Unlike other agents Charles did not artificially increase his valuation to win our business. Instead he focused on a clear marketing strategy and honest communication. This was boosted by an excellent listing, with top-class photography that showed our home in the best light. As a result our sale went smoothly and we had 5 offers at asking within a week of being on the market. In contrast, similar properties in Pangbourne remain unsold. Post-offer, Charles and the team kept the process moving with clear communication throughout. House buying and selling is an inherently stressful process but the team at Strutt & Parker made it less so by being readily available and quick to respond, always keeping things straightforward, and ensuring good faith on both sides. Our house sale was an easy transaction in a tough market - from instruction to completion in less than 4 months. I credit this success to the team at Strutt & Parker Pangbourne (particularly Charles). Consequently, I would readily instruct them again and will certainly recommend Strutt & Parker to my friends and family.

Edward Thomson of Strutt and Parker is the real deal in a tank full of sharks in the London real estate market. His advice when I bought a short-lease apartment in Cadogan Place was invaluable. I have since gone on to refurbish the property and extended the lease to create some real value. I’d trust Ed, whether on the buy or sell side. I recently bought a property through Aaron and can't recommend him highly enough. This wasn't a simple transaction, and there were a few points where it could easily have stalled. Truly terrible estate agents.

Truly terrible estate agents. For the past five days both my husband and I have contacted them repeatedly to ask for a home report for a property they're advertising for sale with no response. Recorded voicemail when you call does not return the messages left, and gives an office number to call if "urgent" but that number loops you back to the same voicemail. Nick, you suck at your job. The chat bot they have takes your request and doesn't get back to you. The number to dial via Rightmove gets you nowhere either. Honestly, if I was selling through them I'd be incredibly unhappy. Truly awful company offering no service to buyers.
