We cannot thank Elliott & Smith enough for everything they’ve done for us. We first came across them when searching for a new home, and after a rollercoaster journey, it was a no brainer to have them acting as the agent for our sale too. Dan Elliott was a lifesaver to us and acted with such genuine care, compassion and urgency when we needed him most. Throughout the entire sale and purchase process, Zuhre went above and beyond in every possible way. Zuhre is absolutely incredible, her relentless support, kindness and determination has been invaluable to us and we will never be able to express just how thankful we are to Zuhre for taking such good care of us as a family. It’s rare to find people in the profession who genuinely care so much, and we are still taken aback by the team at Elliott & Smith. Even at the most stressful of moments, we were made to feel reassured at every step. Steve and Julie were also brilliant at making sure all of our calls, queries and emails were picked up in any absence, with such a friendly approach. We have never had any difficulty in being able to reach the team when we needed to. A truly outstanding service from start to finish and we are so grateful that we came across Elliot & Smith. We have and will continue to recommend them to everyone!

If you want to an Estate Agent to sell your house expertly, then Elliott and Smith are for you. We have purchased a property from them and from the moment we entered the house Zurhe was fantastic, she was passionate about the property and stood out from any other agent we met in the overall process. It wasn’t the easiest purchase but Zurhe was a great support throughout and kept us up to date at all times. Would highly recommend them.

Elliot & Smith have been incredible in the journey from selling our flat to buying our house. The process took nearly 5 months of multiple hurdles holding up progression; but Dan, Zuhre, Julie and the rest of the Team were always on the ball trying to ensure progress. At the start of the process I was unrealistic as to what my flat was worth due to a number of valuations, but Dan was near enough bang on with the valuation in this current market (being a buyers market). Anyone reading this, as long as the estate agent is doing their job the reason your property may not be selling is due to the price! Communication with Dan and Zuhre was great, always available for a phone call, spoke to myself and my partner like humans and were very thorough when they assured me they would sell the property. I can write so much more about this Estate Agent but what I can say is they deserve all the stars they have earned. Thank you Team

The most honest review I have ever written! Here goes; From the minute I spoke to Zuhre I just knew she was special. She spoke so politely, calmly and she knew how much I'd fallen in love with the house just by our first conversation. This was May 10th 2025. This house was special in every way. Loved by the family for 60 years, told a story, was spacious, had a beautiful garden and my children would all be able to have a bedroom each. I went to view the next morning and was welcomed by the delightful Steve. He was funny, comical and it was obvious he knew his stuff. I wanted the house even more after being shown around, so I made an offer straight away! Fast forward to today and I have now EXCHANGED contracts! I have felt so supported and listened to by Zuhre and the team. She goes out of her way to sort any queries and she has a way about her that is hard to describe. She is someone you feel like you know so well. The rapport she builds with you is special too. She understands how stressful selling a house can be. She reassured me and had everything in hand. She is efficient, methodical and you just know you're in safe hands. Dan is also a great guy. Zuhre arranged a second viewing and he attended. He is a chilled out guy as well. Helpful and allowed us as much time as we wanted to look around. I never thought I could feel so touched by an estate agent, but this is one of the biggest achievements for me to purchase a house on my own and I have felt really proud of this outcome. I could have never chosen anyone better to have supported me throughout this process. Zuhre is simply the best! Don't look any further if you want to buy or sell your property. Sold my property swiftly, thats where the service stopped. Dan and Zuhre were great on getting the buyer. Took the case to ombudsman after i was confronted by an angry man who happened to be one of the owners. He shouted and swung his arms at me in their offices and was frankly quite confronting and rude. Here are the comments from the ombudsman: I have reviewed the concerns you have raised, and I can see that you feel the buyers financial checks were not completed correctly, nor was the chain checked. I understand that your buyers advised Elliott & Smith that they had sold their property to their daughter, which was due to complete, meaning that they were purchasing your property with cash. In this instance, I would expect your agent to obtain a Memorandum of Sale as proof of purchase, however, as this was a private sale, this would not have been obtainable, and I would therefore of expected them to reach out to their solicitors, to confirm their financial status by ensuring their property was sold and close to completion. I would also expect them to check the chain at this stage, also via the solicitors, to ensure the buyers position was as they said. I cannot evidence that this was the case, and that Elliott & Smith did rely on your buyers information to confirm the financial and selling position. I do agree that this was not best practice. Within your complaint you state that your agent was unaware of the sales progression, and was surprised to hear that your property was ready for exchange and completion. Whilst I do understand your agent’s comments, that the process was quicker than average, I still would have expected to see that they monitored your sale in line with the code of practice. As you can see the ball was dropped once a buyer was found and i had to pick up alot of the work myself, as did my vendors agent. It didnt help that the buyer of my property did her best to conceal the fact that her chain was delayed.

I was a first time buyer, and as a buyer I thought E&S did a fantastic job. Zuhre was very responsive, understanding, and honest during the process, explained what needed to be done, and did a great job liaising with the sellers (which was not always easy!). Dan was very good at showing the property, and understood well on what needed to be done, and did a great job getting both the sellers and me to agree on completion. Even though the sellers were their clients, I thought they did a great job looking out for me too. Would definitely recommend, and use them for selling a property.

We have had fantastic, reliable service from the brilliant team at Elliott and Smith. We were kept up to date with all developments quickly and efficiently. The team go out of their way to help you, from Julie and Steve in the office to George, who was fundamental in us selling the house to Dan who kept us up to date when George was unavailable. They recommended us a surveyor (David Broad) who was also very easy to get along with and who I would also recommend. This was the easiest and best move we've had and I would definitely use them again.

Big thanks to the team at Elliott&Smith! We recently purchased a property and they were super helpful. Our first viewing was on a bit of a whim (we saw Steve finishing up a different viewing and he accomodated our request for a quick look round). They also squeezed us in for a second viewing shortly after and Dan was incredibly good at chasing up the seller / solicitors and keeping us in the loop at all times. Can't thank this cheerful, friendly, family team enough for helping me to sell my deceased dad's flat. I had no idea what had to be done and they were always on hand to help either via email or a phone call and if I paid an unannounced visit to the office when I was passing, I was always made to feel welcome and each one would take time to say hello or have a few words.
