Selling a property with Beals Estate Agents.

I contacted Beals to sell a property which was subject to probate. The manager Carly came to inspect the property. She was very pleasant and open and we agreed a price and put the property on the market.Before and after each viewing I was contacted by a member of staff from Beals by telephone or by e mail informing me of the visit. The property was available to see on line within a few days. Jade and Hannah did most of the viewings and always contacted me after each viewing with information and feedback. The property was sold subject to contract and during this process a member of staff from Beals continued to contact me by e mail with updates. I was very pleased with the level of service provided by Beals and would say ‘ Top marks for communication’. Would recommend .

Slow and unresponsive service. Low Quality House.

Terrible service. The house has multiple faults in multiple rooms. There was a mould treatment in almost all rooms recently - which we had been waiting over a year - they didn't tell us how long it would take. During this process they ripped out the kitchen radiator and have not put it back, and once they finished the damp proof, the didn't repaint over the concrete, so now we have huge patches of unpainted wall all across the bottom floor; to top it all off, parts of the walls are still damp. This is only one concern of multiple. Furthermore, we have numerous leaking pipes, due to this some of the floor lamination in the kitchen is stained and dirty, and in possible extension of this, the upstairs toilet flush is faulty. We have not heard anything back about fixing these issues of over three months. We've rented this house for 4 years and it's not been a pleasant experience. We are a family household living with children here.

Good afternoon Adriana, Thank you for getting back to me. The full management of the property has been with Beals for many years now and I've always been satisfied with your service until the last the tenant moved out in mid-July. I haven't received any check-out reports since then and it seems that the property hadn't been looked after, and I wasn't aware of this until I went to take a look at it myself: the whole place is a mess with full repairs required in some areas. I've tried to contact Hayley many times by email in order to get reports and updates, and when I've called into the office (Joe, Jack and Mollie for information they've always told me that they'd get back to me the next day, but I never received any follow ups. The issue is that I'm not sure what I've been paying the 10% service charge for, considering that the efficacy of your company during this last tenancy has been much less than satisfactory, and I'm currently still waiting for £3000 compensation from the previous tenant due to property damage, of which I have received little to no updates. The lack of communication between myself and your agency is disappointing, and to me it's frank that there have been little to no inspections of the property to keep an eye on the state of it, which has led to the damages l've seen, attached below.

I cannot fault Katie's work. The sale in question was a long and stressful process for both parties, but throughout the whole time Katie gave exceptional service. She was continuously communicating with me, providing updates regularly and happily answering any questions I had, and if she didn't have an answer she quickly found it and reported back to me. She was always friendly, helpful and welcoming with her calls and emails while also remaining very professional. Can't recommend her enough and would personally ask for her should I sell my property in the future.

Brett at the North End office

I had my house on the market with another estate agent for some time, with no communication and no effort to market my property, prompting me to change to Beal's. Brett was very helpful and honest and marketed the property at the correct value. Within a day of putting the house on, he had lined up several people to view and this continued throughout the time it was marketed. The communication was excellent and at a level I appreciated( no constant sales pitch, just good and honest feedback) and in my preferred method of e mail. I was selling my house remotely whilst I was out of the country, and the team worked hard to support the sale throughout this time.
