Do not use this estate agent
Would not recommend renting through Hunters - no communication, follow up or empathy from anyone here. Day one moved in- Leak all over the living area from a disconnected pipe that hadn’t been checked. Raised floorboards and bloomed worktop- No broadband access- No bins- Vent not fitted correctly in the bathroom(All reported no follow up from Hunters)1 month later - Still no broadband, bins arrive. Had to purchase expensive WiFi dongle in 12 month contract and unable to use electric car charger. - Phone line attachment broken and reported via Opeanreach -Had to chase Hunters for any action to be taken for the wifi for the whole apartment block2 months later- (Some) flats connected to broadband still some flats without wifi - low speed if usable- Our apartment was flooded with sewage water into the bathroom. - £150 to replace damaged bathroom goods - Pipes overflowing and all toilet/shower/sinks/washing machine and dishwasher unusable for 3 days- 3 days OFF work to facilitate fixing issues- Front door lock unstable logged 23rd July no follow up- Vent still hanging down in bathroom3 months in- Storage room ripped up from last month and no follow up from blocked pipes. Waiting to be flooded out- Stinks of sewage- No communication in over 3 weeks Do not care about welfare/lack of customer service. Shocking. I never write negative reviews and genuinely give people a bit of slack but this has been the worst I have experienced.

INCOMPETENT
Hunters listed a rental property two days ago and I had contacted them making an enquiry an hour after it was posted. No response. so I went online and found a book a viewing form and completed it. No response. The next day I emailed asking further about the property. No response. Today no call or no email, no response. So I call up and I am informed that they are fully booked for viewings and they probably wont do another one. Absolutely no communication. Zero customer service. An entirely incompetent estate agents. I had to drag the information out of them and at no stage was I contacted. The entirety of their reviews for 2024 details their utter incapability.

Hunters Estate Agent review
Amazing service from start to finish .A special mention to Della who went above and beyond what was expected, Della's communication was fantastic even on her days off she would chase information and update us. Della was instrumental in the completion date and kept the chain together. We'd of been lost without her. Thanks Della. Highly recommend.

Appalling customer service from the stoke office and I'm not even one of their tenants, had the misfortune to be involved with a leak from one of their tenants, it took over 6 months to get to the repair stage which when done was really poor workmanship so I'm having to do it myself, the staff are unhelpful and don't care so if they treat third party tenants like that it must be really bad for their own tenants.

Hunters Northenden branch
Hunters Northenden branch. Louis at Hunters could not have been more helpful. I was renting a retirement property for my father who was moving areas to be nearer us. Louis was very understanding of our needs and our urgency and we had everything sorted within 3 weeks. He was very efficient and answered emails very promptly. We couldn't have had a better experience.

Hunters is a joke
I have had experience with Hunters in the past on multiple occasions. I am disappointed everytime from their lack of felixibility. For example if you're trying to rent and your annual income matches but does not excees what is expected by Hunters then they will abruptly cut you off. Also horrible customer service by the staff and do not know what they are doing. On a flat i called twice one staff member told me i had to satisfy an income of 29.000 pounds and another staff member told me i had to exceed 30.000 wich makes me doubt their honesty. I have had much better experiences with other agencies. Do not reccomend.

We bought a house through Hunters and i have to say the experience from start to finish was was brilliant, when we first called at the office to ask if we could view the house the same day we didn't hold out much hope, we explained due to work we wouldn't be able to view for another week if not, Natalie ( i think ) couldn't have been more helpful and managed to squeeze us in at the end of the day, we were so pleased, Olivia who showed us round was also very helpful and didn't rush us at all despite it probably being the end of a busy day, the whole thing from having a offer accepted and to completing was very quick ( unusually quick ) and this was in part due to Hunters being on the ball. Also receiving a card and hamper when you get the keys is a really nice touch and something we have never had in the past. i cant recommend them highly enough and if we were ever to sell our property wouldn't hesitate in using Hunters at Pocklington Thank you to all the girls who work there, you do a fantastic job.
Thank you for leaving us a review Andy, we are so glad to hear that you were happy with the service you received from us. We hope you will be very happy in your new home!

An unfortunate attitude from Hunters
My boyfriend and I were purchasing a property through Hunters and they were pleasant enough. However, when we received the results of the independent survey two months down the line, it highlighted what we considered to be significant problems with the property, particularly the necessity of a whole new roof, and the replacement of brickwork.Naturally, we had not - and could not have - factored in the cost of these repairs, or the time it would take to carry them out, so we emailed our contact at Hunters in Sunderland, simply outlining the issues that the survey had presented, and attaching the report in full. The reply we received explained ‘The seller is not under any obligation to carry out any work or offer a reduction’. While true, this attitude seemed hostile to us, and rather unprofessional. We did not mention a negotiation of price, or the current owners carrying out the work themselves - although, to be frank, these did not seem unreasonable expectations. We had misgivings about how considerable an undertaking the repairs would be, both financially and physically, but were open to discussing options with Hunters/the sellers. However, we decided to withdraw from the sale, and Hunters’ attitude did play a big part in that. As a prospective buyer, you do not have a choice over which estate agent to deal with, but I would certainly be reticent about purchasing a property sold by Hunters in the future, and would strongly advise sellers to consider the overwhelmingly negative reviews on this page before engaging Hunters, as the wrong estate agent could scupper a sale, as in this case.

I have been with Hunters for the past 2 years and throughout that time the team was extremely helpful. Always available to answer my calls and did their best to get any problems sorted as soon as possible . I have been a renting from different companies over the past few years I have to say this was by far the best I have ever come across. I want to say thank you for everyone at hunters for all their help over the past couple of years. Highly recommend them !!

Dishonest and unprofessional
We drove over 250 miles to view a house listed for let @ £900. We said we like it and were happy to proceed, after all similar properties down south cost £1000 a month….We were absolutely shocked when they got back to us, offering us the house for £1000 because they knew we could afford it… we were aghast! I have never ever encountered such skullduggery and dishonesty…. Of course we declined… how can one deal with such a dishonest estate agent as these!

Waste of time
As working professionals who can rarely get free time during the weekdays, it's extremely annoying to book days off to view properties to find they're by application, and we submitted our application the day we viewed, only to have the application be rejected because it wasn't processed in time before the landlord accepted an alternative application. Not worth the time.

Very helpful and patient.
Very helpful, kind and considerate. We have just moved into our new home after lots of ups and downs which started with the Covid lockdown. Without going into detail we had a lot of problems with our respective buyers and sellers. Hunters at Pocklington were so supportive, patient and understanding and were with us at every step. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Hunters Pocklington have sold 2 houses for me & my husband, both sold at full asking price too!! There is nothing that they wouldn't do for us, they really were there every step of the way and worked very hard for us! Nothing was any bother. If we ever sell again there is no question that it would be the team at Hunters Pocklington that we would use.

Hunters Horncastle:
Hunters Horncastle:If you are looking for an EA who keeps you updated and informed then I would NOT use Hunters, if you want the privilege of paying for doing your own work then by all means use this EA, also if you want to feel as though the EA is acting on behalf of the buyer instead of the seller… this is the one for you!!! They say the right things to get the initial business and then offer bad advise and never any follow up or conversations about the state of the market during contract period, even when requested. Also emails and WA messages were ignored. Worst Estate Agent I’ve ever used. It seems that Katherine (who did the viewings) and Susan (admin) seem to hold them just above water and do all the donkey work. Just my honest opinion!! Would have given zero rating if possible

We used hunters to put our house up for sale
We used hunters to put our house up for sale in October 2024. Despite a few problems with surveys etc Hunters manged to sell our house to a cash buyer. the communication and updates during the process were very clear and professional. Selling a home is a very stressful experience however hunters helped us throughout the journey
