GoogleI have been renting a flat from them since 2019 and they have been amazing since the beginning. They also manage the maintenance side of the flat and i have nothing to fault them,they’ve always been supportive and when i had a problem they got on with it straight away and fixed it. Staff is friendly,supportive and empathetic and always a pleasure to do business with them. I recommend them 100%.

GoogleBAD FOR TENANTS! If you have plenty of spare money hand your deposit to these miscreants. They will try and rob you blind when you move out. They tried to charge me £450 for cleaning a spotless house with a couple of neglected bits (1-2 hours cleaning). Plus a further £85 for such things as missing light bulbs and removing rat traps that were there when I moved in. Max refused to get a price for cleaning beforehand, preferring to charge me whatever the cleaning company (he probably has shares in) deigned to charge. When we put the claim in for deposit dispute new things miraculously appeared, such a charge for overgrown garden when the landlord had separately engaged a gardener all along and nothing was requested previously. With sharp suited Max, it's often think of a number time! If you are looking to rent in Plymouth only go with this shower if you like giving away money for nothing. Run Forrest Run!

We carried out a final inspection of the property at the end of Mr Robinsons tenancy and submitted a list of deductions we felt were reasonable at the time . Mr Robinson did not agree to the whole amount but to a partial contribution . We felt this was not enough to cover the landlords costs but decided a negotiated settlement was the best bet to bring the issue to a close . However Mr Robinson declined this offer . As the deposit is held in the Deposit Protection Scheme if both parties cannot agree a figure the disputed amount goes to the Dispute Resolution Service . This is an independent adjudicator who weighs up the evidence of both parties and makes a decision on which both parties have to agree to . It is possible we may lose the case but in is fair and impartial and protects both tenants and landlords . What I strongly object to is Mr Robinson using the derogatory language he does and accusing us of being in some way crooked which we are not as the dispute process clearly shows . It has taken far more time and effort in this process than we could could possibly benefit from as any agent or landlord will tell you who has had to use it .

GoogleReally negative experience. My viewing was cancelled a few hours before it was due apparently because of covid but I was told there would be no reschedule. I’ve been reaching out about a house for days and as soon as they actually answer the phone they tell me I can’t view it despite the fact that I’ve called and left messages for days. Really disappointing.

GoogleI began using Barton Wykes soon after they started. I had moved to Australia and needed an agent to look after my property and didn't I land on my feet.
It was all new to me with renting but I soon realised that my property was in safe hands.
Dealing with me may have been a challenge with the time difference but they were certainly patient in that regard.
Any problems with the property they were very transparent and honest and would get a competitive price for me everytime on any work needed.
If I were to give this company a rating out of 10 it would be 11.
Most certainly I would use them again and I am recommending them to anyone.

GoogleMy property is currently being let with Barton Wykes. This is the second time my property has been let with them, each time it was let within a few days of being advertised.
They price properties correctly within the market place and don’t over inflate the possible rental to gain your initial custom, then ask you to lower the price to gain a tenant.
This is obviously good for me as the landlord and good for tenants as they get good quality properties that are properly priced. Barton Wykes are a professional and friendly company that I will continue to use in the future.
