GoogleI recommend Barrington & Co highly. The property I was selling was a small 500 year old thatched cottage which was a listed building. Consequently it had a niche market of buyers with all the difficulties associated with that. In addition I reside in NZ and so was not available to be on site.
Nigel and Tim were both marvellous to deal with. Nigel was the primary sales person I dealt with, and he was always helpful, kind and courteous. He responded promptly to all my enquiries, which were many as I was not familiar with the UK system. He had a real passion for what he was doing and a great affection for the cottage which I really appreciated. He went over and above many times taking on tasks which I should have done had I been in the country. I also had a property inquiry not related to the cottage which Tim handled for me, and he was excellent and incredibly helpful.
The cottage was sold to a lovely buyer at a good price. Thank you Nigel and Tim.

GoogleBarrington & Company have a well earned right to be the No 1 Estate Agent in Petworth, surrounding areas and West Sussex.
Nigel expertly helped us find the perfect purchaser for a remote farm house with 27 acres of land. Despite a generally sluggish market he created allot of interest and offers culminating in a winning asking price offer.
The service didn't end there because Nigel was on hand to guide both parties through the sale process to a conclusion that left everyone very happy - not an easy task.
I recommend Barrington & Co and know that the service and property skills they provide their Clients will be rewarded.

GoogleOne word to describe the service we have had from Barrington & Company, brilliant!
Our house has taken 10 years to sell and we have used almost every well known multi branch estate agency. However for the past few years Nigel Clements at Barrington’s has been looking after us and despite being a small independent agency they have produced far more viewers for our property than we ever had through the larger agencies. Their service was second to none and they couldn’t have looked after us better. Nigel is full of integrity, honest and very courteous and we feel that his personality and drive was a major factor in the sale of our house. We therefore thoroughly recommend Barrington & Company.

GoogleMe and my partner recently inquired after a rental property. During the first phonecall we were told the property would be open for viewing in a few weeks and so we agreed to call again on another day. We decided to call again only two days later in the event that something had changed and sure enough we were given a viewing appointment that weekend. At the viewing we were greeted by Tim the owner of the agency and the viewing went very well. At the end we expressed our interest in renting the property and asked what to do next, we were told to call and or email vicky who handles the rentals and proceed with her from there. Before even leaving the property an email was sent to vicky asking to proceed with the lease. We didnt expect to hear anything until monday, the next correspondence was when we phoned on monday and we were told that there was another party interested and that they had to deliberate and tim would make the final decision and we would be contacted later that day. After waiting all day we decided to call the agency an hour before closure only to be told that they had chosen another tenant. I understand that these things happen in the property world however I believe the way it was handled was very unprofessional and caused us to be very disappointed after being built up at the viewing by the owner of the agency himself. I hope in future they handle their possible tenants a little more professionally and learn that transparency is a very good way to do business.
