GoogleWe have recently sold a house through Winkworth in Petersfield and cannot speak too highly of the team and the service. They really took trouble to reach out to as many people as possible and we had over 70 viewings. Marcus and Andrew were extremely helpful throughout the process, and we ended up selling to a really sympathetic buyer which is also a bonus.

GoogleWe had lived and brought up our family in our very much loved home of twenty two years. So it was with some degree of trepidation, that we decided to downsize in order to help our children get on the property ladder. We were recommended Winkworths by our neighbours, who had recently sold through them, and having met Andrew on the initial valuation, we soon realised we had made a very good decision. The whole team were always very professional, friendly, honest, conscientious and happy to help and advise us through the whole process. Like so many sales, there were various complications, but Andrew and the team were on hand to negotiate and make it as stress free as possible. We are now very happy in our new forever home. We are very grateful to them and have no hesitation in giving a five star recommendation.

They found a buyer at the right price very quickly and were very helpful and supportive in the ensuing process through to exchange and completion. Owing to factors outside their control the sale took much longer to complete than anticipated by either buyer or seller and the Winkworths team did very well to keep everything on track and everyone informed. I am delighted with their efforts and also very pleased that the house has found a buyer who will appreciate it. Many thanks to Marcus and co.

GoogleI dealt with Andrew and Marcus for both my sale and my onward purchase, and they did a fantastic job for each. Both my sale and my purchase were complicated and protracted, but Andrew managed the whole process with extraordinary patience, understanding and efficiency. Towards the end of the process there were further complications with timings and Andrew’s ability to think outside the box to solve problems and find alternative solutions probably saved the sale. Most importantly for me was Andrew’s honesty. It is rare today to find an agent with such integrity, even if it meant him losing out. A great agency: Professional, honest, reliable and resourceful. I would definitely use them again.

GoogleThe Petersfield Office of Winkworth came strongly recommended, for which I am extremely grateful, as we required an Estate Agent who would sell our Apartment and communicate extremely well throughout the process, given that we are based outside of the Hampshire area. Although the Sale took longer than expected, through no fault of Winkworth, Andrew and Marcus remained highly motivated, giving weekly updates, facilitating many viewings and helping address the range of questions raised by prospective purchasers. Any questions we had were responded to efficiently right across the Office, with the Team working proactively, putting in long hours to help achieve our Sale. GoogleAndrew and Marcus taught us the value of a good agent. They read the market correctly, provided a strong valuation and sold our house within two weeks. Communications remained expedient and professional throughout. The marketing assets offered by Winkworth (3D walk through) were extremely valuable and better than what other agents offered. They then proceeded to broker a purchase for us off market having understood our onward requirement. That transaction completed from offer to keys within 12 weeks. Having had dreadful experiences with other "premium" agents in the area we couldn't recommend Winkworth highly enough and look forward to an opportunity where we may deal with them again. GooglePoor experience all round, we found the attitude and sales negotiation process totally annoying and frustrating from a potential purchaser prospective. We were mislead when we were offered a vendors target sale price which we agreed too, only for it then to be rejected. We even tried to suggest a option of a higher than target price offer to try to secure the purchase but this agent appeared to simply refuse to present that option to the vendor ! . We were then told to make our best offer and we spent a few hours checking our finances when we were called by this agent to advise us that the property had just been sold to others. Surely in this industry agents should try to get the balance right, appreciating the stresses involved for all parties in such life changing events. Thankfully our faith was restored by a more attentive agent, someone who considered the buyers perspective whilst skilfully managing their customers sales expectations when we purchased our new home through alternative agents just a few days later.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

To clarify, the offer you made was potentially of interest to the vendor however they weren’t prepared to remove the property from the market until you found a buyer for your home, (which we made you aware of). Contrary to what you wrote above, we did inform the vendor that you were willing to offer a higher price which they deemed irrelevant until you were in a position to proceed. At the point when we heard from your estate agent that the chain was complete, somebody else made a higher offer which we informed you of. Our clients then called back to say that they wanted to accept the offer from the other party which again we relayed to you. I’m sorry things didn’t work out for you but wish you every success with the property you have managed to secure.
