Buying a house is a stressful process but the team took all the stress out of it for us and would always answer the phone / email with any questions we asked. Nothing is too much of a problem! They were really informative and put us at ease about selling! They also carried out the viewings for us and were brilliant. They DON'T tell the truth when it comes to Bonds. 5 years I rented a property first 2 years was with Victoria who I couldn't fault one bit. Victoria left in approximately 2017 and sold the business to what is now 'Cornerstone' ..you are vultures ! I'm so glad I kept all email evidence of the house I rented from you ! there was never any 'duty of care' you are out 'for as much as you can get' and gladly rip off the tenant....not good business ethics !

Hi Michelle, Cornerstone Estates work on the behalf of our Landlords in the management of a tenancy. When the tenancy ends we follow our check out procedure and prepare a report with photographs. The Landlord is the one who instructs is how much of the deposit we should retain for them, in order to put the property back to the position it was in, based on the evidence. In your particular case the DPS made the final decision, I understood tenants can get upset and post comments when the outcome is not in their favour.
Cornerstone pride ourselves on our ethics and we are completely impartial (Hence the reason we use an independent company to provide the check out report) therefor, do not need to tell lies.
No Lettings agent benefits from the retention of a deposit: it goes straight to the landlord to recover their losses.
In the interest of fairness and as a duty of care to the tenant we are very clear about communicating the condition a property should be handed back in, we provided you with a cleaning checklist to give you the best opportunity to get all your deposit back. Also worth a mention is our fairness in negotiating an extended stay for you and your family... 3 times, and how we made sure you could retrieve your mail post tenancy without having to go out of your way.
We regret things ended as they did and we hope you find happiness in your new home.

They managed to sell our 2 bedroom terraced property with 28 dsys. Have to say I was and am very impressed. My friend and I called into the shop to ask a question not related to the sale of my property. The staff were amazingly helpful giving my friend information he wasn't aware of and giving something to think about in the refurbishment of his property. We were even offered a drink.
