Update after 7 months:
Beware once you are out of the site teams care (which is impeccable) everything becomes an argument to get fixed over what they class as a defect, they want to send people to view the snags but they can only come Monday to Friday during work hours so you have to take unpaid leave from your own job, most of any snagging is then done by the original contractors and in a lengthy time scale (bizarre when the same people are on site 6 days a week) windows are cheap bad quality and keep no heat in and no noise out, it's like you've constantly got the window open, even had ice build up around the trickle vents (this is not an issue according to DWH) for 400k I don't expect to get questioned on what is snagging especially when their are people on site who could get the issues fixed the next day, after such a great start it's now evident that apart from the structural part of the house being great the rest is the same as every builder only 30% more expensive to buy.

Really disappointed with this site. We went to have a look at the show homes and get a feel for the standard and build quality. 10 years ago a David Wilson home was a life goal - I could only afford Barratt. I was shocked by the poor standard of finish in the show home. Edgings, lights hanging off in the kitchen, poor paint work.
We mentioned this to the lady in the sales centre and that they might want to just go around and do some snagging as it didn't reflect well. Her response was that no-one else had ever mentioned it and that they did their own snagging. She then said we might want to try another site as maybe the quality would be better!!!!
Yeah, no thanks. Maybe that bolshey attitude works on some people but you've just put me off the brand for life.
@David Wilson Homes - maybe do a mystery shopper here, you might be surprised by what and is representing your brand. It's certainly not the standard I'd expect from a name such as yours.
