I completed a flat purchase in City Centre of Bristol a year ago. Savills were the agents. Unfortunately I have been left with bitter feelings about this purchase as the agent was trying to rush things and kept getting frustrated when I was asking reasonable questions about the property. What has disappointed me the most, is that 1. When I was shown the flat and had been given initial information, I was falsely informed about the ground rent and leasehold remaining years 2. The agent failed to inform me about a very critical piece of information, the fact that there was a high pending charge for the flat, in regard with big damage occurred in the common heating system during the previous years. During the purchase I was constantly asking information that as it's proven now, were kept from me because they were related to this big hidden cost. I regret backing off on this one, due to the Savills agents' pressure and now it is a cost that although it's still big and unexpected, it would cause me excessive lawyer fee as well if I decide to dispute. But my point here is that the agent, put a lot pressure on me and none to the lawyers of the seller to provide correct information and I feel played. 3. The agent never showed me the whole development and was obviously ignorant of a lot of the facilities and the existing tenants' association which could have helped to answer lots of my questions (or probably deliberately avoided to bring too much in light) . They seemed good enough to show someone around the property but held or shared none of the important information. As a buyer, this is critical attitude that I would look for to an agent. Savills just don't feel trustworthy for me and I would not be choosing to work with them in future if possible.

It was a pleasure working with Savills to sell our house from a distance during an uncertain and challenging market in 2024. Our main point of contact was Felicity Walker, and we were impressed by her experience and local knowledge as well as her insights into the general housing market and the current economic climate. Highly professional, yet friendly and approachable, she took time to understand her clients’ personal circumstances, needs and preferences, and had a realistic and fair approach to buying and selling. Her perseverance and pragmatism in the face of occasional setbacks was most reassuring. The team as a whole were extremely helpful in arranging access for general maintenance, surveys, safety checks, etc. Communication was excellent and there was always timely feedback regarding viewings and buyer interest.

We were fortunate that it fell to Troy Budd to steer the sale of our property in Stoke Bishop, Bristol. The housing market was becoming increasingly sluggish, with the number of viewings declining. We also lost about 5/6 weeks when a 'prospective buyer" wasted our time, and Troy's, and then just walked away! Troy persisted and a previous "viewer" renewed his interest and, when we least expected, Troy's efforts were rewarded when, unexpectedly, exchange of contracts and completion were accomplished in quick time and the sale was concluded. Much due to Troy's perseverance and persuasive manner. Our sale was due, in no small part, to Troy's efforts in a difficult market.

For that reason, I decided to forgo using any other services and focus exclusively on their properties.Since becoming a tenant, the vast majority of my experiences have been overwhelmingly positive. For that reason, if/when I'm in the market for a new flat, I will certainly only consider properties managed by Savills.Last, and miles upon miles from least, I cannot possibly say enough about my superstar Property Manager, Melissa Grant. This company are the managing agents for a shop I rented. Shocking customer service from Billie Stephenson. She confirmed the amount of our deposit held by Savills then once the keys were returned suddenly she tells us she made a mistake. Been trying to get this resolved for weeks. Her phone is hardly ever answered, messages are rarely responded to. She promised to call me back over a week ago and nothing.
