Really dissapointed with the service from these agents. Never come back to you on the phone with updates on the offer I made, rude on the phone and shoulting. I've been trying to arrange a viewing for 4 days which never hapen and in the end hanged up the phone on me. Waste of time 100%

Connells surveyors dont have a clue about house prices, down valued our house by £200k, meaning we were 2.5% over the target LTV and cost us £200 per month? The local professional and knowledgeable agents all valued the house £200k higher, this valuation, is so low, it almost feels dishonest, just so the Building society can charge more interest. Avoid like the plague if you can.

These guys are horrific. Messed us about moving in, messed us about while we lived here and now messing us about to make us leave, only 12 months in. Replied to a repairs request with an eviction notice, lie through their teeth about everything. Absolutely shocked at the level of quality here, expected more from connells.

Put forward a cash offer (£5,000 over the asking price) on a property with Connells, they told me the vendor rejected it. I’ve now discovered the property was sold just 3 months later for £3,000 less than I put forward). Avoid this estate agency they are not trustworthy

Part of our house had to be demolished. The full building survey from Connells was full of significant errors. They do not follow their complaint procedure- our complaint was passed straight to their legal team- who refuse to answer calls or emails.

Connells surveyor conducted a home purchase survey, supposedly.Failed to notice basic structural issues such as the roof being wonky! Main roof timbers clearly deformed by simply looking quickly through the loft hatch.Survey findings comprised of just a few lines basically confirming there was a house, made of brick, at the address.Doubtful that a surveyor actually attended the property - likely used Google Maps.Horrendous quality service.

Although this company provided what was contractually required, I was disappointed with the overall level of service.Following a complaint about an element of the service provided, our contractual relationship hit such a low point that the only remit left was arbitration via Ombudsman Services, via the published ADR scheme.Had I know what would have occurred, I would not have used this company in the first place.

Rubbish customer service. Maintenance department awfulTook weeks to get anything sorted. Offered no forms of compensation for being without basic things like hot water for over a month. Made life extremely difficult for well over 8 months. was not even informed I had a new landlord until I rang them up and was told as an afterthought. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY GO ELSWHERE

Even the complaint office has no idea how to sort out things and is just pointless. Constantly keep telling an untruth, making errors, breaching the contract and unlawfully holding your money.

Trying to book a house viewing should be straightforward. They are more interested in selling mortgages and other products. My son has been looking to buy a house and while other agents are easy to deal with, Connell's have added friction and are very pushy. So much so that they are off the list for potential viewings.

If I could give minus stars I would. When you really need something, you might as well talk to the wall, they never call you back, they give bad advice then hide like the cowards they are. Worst company, DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, UNLESS YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE TIME AND MONEY. they need to shut down to be honest.

The ‘gentlemen’ who came round to do a survey was one of the rudest and arrogant individuals I’ve ever met. My partner and I were astonished. Luckily they were doing it on behalf of my lender so I’m not paying them a penny. If it wasn’t for that his attitude wouldn’t have even got him through the threshold.

After several years of one mistake after another, we have finally changed from Connells to another letting agent to rent out and manage our property. I don't know how that is going to work out yet, but honestly no- one could possibly be less efficient or less interested than Connells. The front office staff are great, but the back office doesn't appear to exist...

Phoned me up and booked a survey. Told me they would contact me the day before with a 90 minute time slot. Booked the day off work. No contact no one turned up. When they were contacted they denied all knowledge of contact. Even though I’ve got the original call in my phone log. Very unprofessional.

We dealt with the Exeter office in particular and it was shockingly bad service, no customer service, no communication, wouldn't take any responsible for their actions even when they were in the wrong which they were on numerous occasions. It was a really stressful and upsetting experience and one which I will never repeat, you have been warned!

Absolutely dire. These people have zero expertise. They undervalued my home by about 60k after a 10 minute viewing. Didn't ask any questions. The house was 180k. We spent 75k massively revamping and extending, and these fools valued it at 190k, despite a much smaller house 2 doors up selling for 230k. Absolutely preposterous. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible. . Worst service no help with problems and when we moved out completely on landlords side when demanding 100% of deposit even though we had left condition the same. Items listed on inventory that did not come with property the reason. In the end gave up as stressing us out. No care given to the customer only landlords. Will never use again.

A letting agent from Connells in Exeter spoke to me on Friday morning and had photos of my property advertised on Rightmove by that afternoon.By Monday morning the lettings team had organised an open afternoon with five viewings for the Wednesday. They have been incredibly professional and helpful. I would not hesitate to use them in the future.
