Reliable and Helpful

Harp Chatha and his team dealt with the sale of my late mother's property. It was not the easiest of sales as there were two potential buyers who strung us along for months. Harp then found a local buyer and the sale was finally completed quickly and smoothly. Communication was excellent throughout and I was impressed by his dogged persistence and determination to secure the right buyer. The whole process took longer than either of us had anticipated but the outcome was very satisfactory. There may be bigger agencies out there but the personal service and local knowledge he brings is invaluable.

I don't normally leave reviews but felt it only right especially where credit is due. Aston Estates have been nothing but professional over the years that I've used them. From dealing with tennant enquiries directly to sourcing trades people to deal with repairs as required in a timely manner......and believe me, there have been quite a few. Whatever I've asked of them, Harp and his team have always delivered and have always been courteous when dealing with me - else I wouldn't still be using them after all this time.

I fully trust them managing my properties and I also know they have my tenants interests at heart. I had a terrible experience with this estate agent. From the start, they were misleading and untrustworthy. They expected me to secure a mortgage within 20 days, even though banks typically take 1 to 3 months on average. When I viewed the property, I noticed construction work nearby. I called to ask what was being built, and the sales manager claimed they had no information. Later, my solicitor discovered that the vendor was actually retaining part of the land, leaving only a small garden, something the agent failed to disclose. To make matters worse, she wants to put the property back to market agent accused me of money laundering, despite my having a clear financial record and paying taxes on every penny I earn. When I challenged this false claim, she abruptly ended the call, said she didn’t trust my bank, and immediately put the property back on the market, without informing the vendor. I had already spent money on a solicitor, valuation, and mortgage broker fees, which I wouldn’t have gotten back if the agent had secured another buyer. Fortunately, I informed my solicitor, who contacted the vendor’s solicitor. It turned out the vendor had no idea the property was relisted, and they assured us that no other viewings would be allowed. This experience was stressful and costly. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this estate agent.

Unprofessional

Only way I can describe the experience with this estate agents is amateurish, as a first time buyer they wasn’t very helpful with things we couldn’t have possibly known without guidance. Admittedly things weren’t smooth which we did contribute to however after this , they seemed to try make things awkward in a very unprofessional manor. Especially with the not knowing of certain laws or guidelines , furthermore exaggerating the amateur like conduct of this company.

Harp and the team at Aston Estates do a wonderful job, helping lot's of tenants who have hit rock bottom and will do their best to get them back up again. I moved to Grimsby early 2016 knowing no one and having nothing, with in 13 hours of my arrival I had a new home which enabled me to get my life back on track. My experience of Aston's is nothing but positive, They have been nothing but supportive of me even when I was wrongly accused of a criminal offence. I have heard people say negative things about Astons but generally from negative people. I.E slow to get work done, but this is not down to Aston's it's down to the landlord to approve work needed and I do understand that some landlords won't and shouldn't have to keep on paying out for work needed for it only to be needed again 2 weeks later. I would whole heartedly recommend Aston's as a choice for any person needing quality homes and quality of life.

Rude and unhelpful. Bought a house through these and the electric was cut off and cannot be sorted yet til atleast Monday . So have a house with no electric with five kids !! His attitude is grosse. The house was filthy too. We saw that when we viewed. Like he said we knew that, what we didn't know is we wouldn't have electric to hoover. It's grosse like his attitude to be fair.
