Disappointing

Wyatt Homes’ performance shows no signs of improving. They seem to have no understanding of quality assurance or quality control. Aftercare is poor in terms of addressing defects in design, materials and workmanship. The lack of consideration to their customers who have bought their houses is shocking. Wyatt Homes demonstrate the house building market has a long way to go to understand that in the UK we need better quaility buildings. New should mean better, but it doesn’t.

So happy with our second Wyatt Homes purchase

We are extremely happy with our experience with Wyatt Homes, having recently moved from another Wyatt home in Frenches Green to our new home at Rivers Edge. We have been really pleased with the quality and finish of the house, and the whole process has been a very positive experience. We have also been very impressed with how our snagging has been handled, with everything being dealt with quickly and to a high standard. A special shout-out to Martin, the Site Manager, who has been incredibly helpful, approachable and always happy to assist whenever we have had any questions or issues. We really appreciate all of his help. We would also like to mention Emma in Sales, who was fantastic throughout the buying process. She was always helpful, friendly and kept us well informed, which made the whole process much easier. Overall, we are very happy with our Wyatt home and would happily recommend Wyatt Homes to anyone looking for a new build.

Buyer beware

You may want to be very cautious if you're thinking of purchasing a Wyatt Home. Wyatt have an extremely slick marketing department, who will be at pains to tell you that you're buying a quality home when compared to the competition. We have lived on one of their developments for more than two years, and cannot recommend them. Your money finances the supposedly beautifully designed development your house will be situated on, but believe me the penny-pinching and cost-cutting that goes on means that eventually you'll be living on an estate that is far less beautiful than they promised, and you have paid for. There are numerous issues and defects, which Wyatts know about, but are refusing to rectify. We live on an estate of dead trees, half-planted hedges, rough stony ground that was shown on the plans as beautiful wildlife havens, and strange 'earth mounds' which actually conceal tonnes of builders rubbish. The limit on TrustPilot review lengths prevents me from providing more detail, but you will be getting the idea. They have no interest in health and safety matters, and despite receiving multiple complaints, we have drainage basins which do not drain properly, and are a magnet for young children, fenced off by knee-high barriers that resemble climbing frames to kids. A kids' play area is just feet away. God forbid that one should ever fall in and drown, but this is of no interest to Wyatt Homes, who won't even reply to concerns. It is perfectly reasonable to ask for our developments to comply with the plans we viewed and paid for when we purchased. Yet when you try to make contact with David Wyatt or any Wyatt Homes Directors, you are met with a wall of silence. We have a tight-knit group of residents here, yet our spokesperson is persistently blanked, for asking perfectly reasonable and polite questions, and requesting that the estate is completed as per the original plans. Even the council's Planning Enforcement department are now involved, as is the local MP, yet Wyatts appear to have no interest in rectifying these things, displaying considerable arrogance to us, their customers. Expect the bare minimum from Wyatt Homes, once your cash has been pocketed. If you are a potential future Wyatt customer, take note!

Render fault 3rd time pending

Terrible. Render failed over 3 years ago and then had to be done again around 18 months after the first fault. You guessed it all of the render has failed again and now premier is warranty is having to repeatedly chase them. Very poor customer service and quality of rendering well….. just make sure you keep a full file on coms , photos as you might well need them like me.

Michelle Rowe at Mountbatten Park has been a fabulous sales negotiator and nothing is too much trouble for her. It is a great loss to Wyatt Homes that she will be leaving shortly (for a promotion elsewhere) as she is the face of the site and has been instrumental in our choice of home. The development itself is really beautiful and the homes are constructed to exacting standards.

Appalling customer service when there are snagging problems, massive delays to repairs and poor quality repair work. Rude and unhelpful project manager Mr Peter Haynes, who has attempted to bully my elderly mother into accepting a sub-standard solution to repair a major problem with her new build house. AVOID

Please don’t buy a Wyatt home as the plumbing issues are horrendous. If you do decide to buy make sure you have top of the range plumbing and heating insurance cover after the 2 year warranty runs out.
