GoogleWe moved one week ago and I have given time for the dust to settle before writing this review; however I still feel it would be inaccurate for me to give more than one star. As the buyer you definitely feel you are not as important as the seller. Having viewed in August and being unable to view our property again till the day after missives were concluded added to the stress of the move. We haven't considered reaching out to them regarding some issues we've had since moving in to the property as they had no intention of helping us throughout the process. Possibly a good agent for the seller though.
Mr Osborne, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I am obviously disappointed you didn’t have a positive experience during your purchase. As Agents, we have to take our vendors’ and their solicitor’s instructions and unfortunately, their preference was to follow procedure and permit access following conclusion of Missives. I completely understand this is a frustrating process for purchasers and we do our very best to minimise any inconvenience, however, ultimately, we are obliged to take instructions in such instances. GoogleRettie Newton Mearns were fantastic when we put our house on the market. I found them much more approachable and down to earth than some of their competitors. Rettie sold our house but the sale eventually fell through. Alison, Amy and Lynn were so enthusiastic and committed to making sure our property was put back on the market at the right time. They were regularly in contact out of hours and second time round, our house sold in less thab a week. I would thoroughly recommend them.

GoogleNot the of best service you can get, as a buyer you are not informed of anything at each stage of the sale. if any queries they would advise to route this via solicitor but if they need any information they would directly call and push. Also, hand overs of the property are not done promptly. The property you see during the viewings is entirely different when you move in. They don't take responsibility for anything.

The quality of the marketing material was first class and they pitched our property just right. GoogleAsked so many times to be removed from their mailing list and I still receive unwanted emails, some emails don't even have details of the property other than the address in the subject field. I had initially asked for details of a property that I seen a board outside and didn't get a response about this property! I couldn't think of a worse estate agent than Rettie! You mean this Alison Anderson that I emailed on the 8th July and still received emails after this?

FacebookDo not use the newton mearns branch.. my house was up for sale with these people. They initially promised the world, with expected rental figures of 1600 pounds and upto 60grand over home report valuation if sold. ( i agree its no guarantee, but they stated in current climate and condition of my house its possible) Obviously they lied... They wasted my time by sending people round my house who couldn't even afford my house, they even had the nerve to state, that prospective buyers dont want new roof, render and new electrics.. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED I HAVE BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES EMAILS AND HOME REPORT SURVEY I WILL BE HAPPY TO FORWARD IT ON AS PROOF۔۔۔ AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS
