I have to say Claire and her team made selling my cottage the best property selling experience I have ever had. From start to finish I felt I was in the best hands possible. I also felt I was well advised at all times as communications with all the team were excellent at every stage making the whole process surprisingly enjoyable as each one of the delightful team was both charming and professional in their manner. They helped me feel comfortable at every stage and I believe the right buyer was found for my property. Claire’s skill ensured that the right price was achieved. We had a very good experience with March and Petit when we bought our house so there was no debate about who to use when we decided to sell. The advice we received from valuation to marketing was all first rate and the sale price exceeded the guide figure and our expectations. We can't fault the Company, all of the local offices got involved introducing prospective buyers but the team at Newton Ferrers who handled the sale through to completion were all exceptional. Many thank to Claire, Sarah, Roger and Jane all of whom were unflaggingly helpful and enthusiastic.

I don't often write endorsements like this, but I was extremely impressed by March And Petit. From the start of the engagement the service was incredible. When we met at the property, Claire was welcoming, friendly and very informative, she obviously had taken great care in understanding the property, it's history and seemed to have good knowledge of the vendors. Claire was extremely articulate, un-rushed and had a genuine interest in our thoughts and how we felt about the property. Compared to the viewing we had a few hours previously it was night and day. We made an offer on the spot, normally I would not be comfortable to show my hand so quickly in a negotiation, but I felt we could trust her to serve both her vendor and our interests. This is rare in sales. I work in a large corporate, so very used to sales people and negotiations, one of the best I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Forget everything you’ve ever read or thought about Estate Agents and think again. Marchand Petit could write the book on how it should be done. Their professionalism, attention to detail and knowledge of local market dynamics, coupled with exceptionally high levels of legal knowledge, determination to follow-through and continual availability is truly unrivalled. Whilst I only have experience of one office from their extensive network in the South-West, if the team in the Newton Ferrers Office, Roger Punch, Claire Northmore and Julie Leach, are representative of their overall standards, then you need look no further. Claire, Roger and Julie were the best team anyone could hope for. Claire was the lead point of liaison for us and was excellent at every step in the process even when the first agreed sale fell through due to unforeseen circumstances, she had found another buyer within a matter of hours and a new sale was agreed, contracts were exchanged and the transaction was completed, all in under three weeks. The personal and professional service we received was second to none and I have no hesitation in recommending them, unreservedly. Five star ratings are often found but are rarely in line with the actual experience received, in this case the five-star rating is truly deserved and well-earned. Like the International Hotel rating scheme which officially stops at 5*, some establishments are nonetheless rated with 6 or even 7 stars. If measured by the same token, Marchand Petit in Newton Ferrers should receive a 7* rating, they really are that good. Faultless!

As a family of "serial nomads", we have lived as expats in over 15 countries, and in the last 10 years we have moved home 8 times - and over the last 3 years, 3 times here in the UK with three different real estate agents stretching from the far North to the far South of England. As you can imagine, we have a lot of experience with movers and real estate agents. Marchand Petit in Newton Ferres was undoubtedly one of the most professional and helpful of real estate agents we have worked with. Not only easing us into our purchase, but as they are all local to the area and pillars of the community, they also eased us into local community life and schooling for our kids. We now feel very much AT HOME in our new home (and village) and that also has something to do with the lovely people at Marchand Petit!

I arrived in Newton Ferrers last October to look at a house I'd seen online. I knew nothing about the village and immediately fell in love with it. The team at Merchand Petit were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They asked about our interests and gave us lots of information about potential activities in the area as well as suggesting a variety of properties that might be of interest. I liked the house as it was just the type of project I'd been looking for. Unfortunately, my partner wasn't so keen so after looking at few more houses in the village, Julie kindly showed us another house from the same period that had been completely renovated. An inspired decision as my partner immediately saw what I did - we put in an offer that day! Claire and Julie made what was a bumpy road at times, a lot smoother by using tact and diplomacy (and honesty) to ensure a successful conclusion. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt valued throughout the process.

Claire went above and beyond her duties, answering emails after hours and at weekends to reassure us and to answer any queries we had. The purchase was made all the easier because of the positive, can do, attitude of all the staff. They all worked hard to help us in our purchase in any way they could. As well as recommending local people to help us to deal with some work that we needed to have completed prior to our move and communicating with the sellers on our behalf on numerous occasions. Last year our family sold two houses and bought three....one in France! We used Marchand Petit in Newton Ferrers to sell our house and also purchase a smaller property locally for holiday letting. We also sold our Mothers property locally to enable her to move into a retirement apartment. Both sales happened very quickly due no doubt to some good luck but also to professionally produced media and the local staff handling our business. We would strongly recommend using local agents who both know their market place and who suggest a realistic asking price. This allows you to sell up and move on which is the objective isn't it?

Marchand Petit were the perfect estate agents for us. They handled negotiations in a positive & professional manner and made the whole sales process straightforward. We had a slight problem with the original photographs but this was quickly rectified by the team and a new photographer engaged. Going forward, the only recommendation we would make, would be that whoever is doing the viewing, contacts the client to say the viewing is finished, as we ended up waiting to return not knowing if the potential purchaser had left. Apart from that we thought they were excellent.
