no deposit back after 10 weeksI rented from John D Wood for 2 years. They were unbelievably incompetent and non-responsive for the entire tenure. now I have to ring them every week to try to get my deposit back.

GoogleWe recently sold thanks largely to Adam Darbyshire who stepped up to the mark when others were less than dynamic, possibly casual. Communication and negotiating skills were lacking, when trying to drive the deal forward. They are lucky to earn such a generous fee.

GoogleI rent a property through John D Wood. I had an issue with the garage door opening mechanism. Telephoned the Lymington office and spoke with Bonnie. She apologised for the problem we were facing and assured me it would be dealt with immediately. Mainly because we were suffering with extreme wet weather and I was concerned with the amount of rain water and the garage being insecure. Sure enough, the following morning the garage was fixed! Excellent service and a lovely member of staff. Thank you.

Expect this company to be totally negligent returning your deposit (even if your landlord agreed for this to be released). They will make you chase your own money for weeks after you moved out, an absolute nightmare.

The worst agent service I have ever seen in my life. We have been dealing with them for more than a year. We wrote a letter to them complaining and nothing was ever done. They delegate their work to everyone, they just pretend they work. Never hire them.

GoogleFriendly, efficient service. The agents were always helpful when I 'phoned to ask questions prior to renting the property. Kat Mitchell showed me around the properties which I had shortlisted. She could not have been more understanding of our needs and has really worked to accommodate these. The agents were also excellent when working at a geographical distance prior to the move. Since our move the kindness and professionalism has continued. Excellent all round service. Highly recommended.

Had a really good experience! Ellie Bowers the estate agent I was in contact with was very nice, efficient... She showed me a few properties and really into consideration what I liked and did not liked and found me the ideal flat. Her approach was not as salesy as can be with some other estate agents. Feels like she really cares about her customers. I would highly recommend.

The tenants that JDW found for me in 2019 decided to leave after one year, disappointingly, but JDW (Trinity Road branch, SW18) found two people who appear to be excellent replacements, with only a 10-day void. The necessary arrangements were all made in a professional manner. I'd particularly like to single out Shoeni Oates for the excellent service and advice I've received as an inexperienced landlord.

Awful experience. Reached end of tenancy and despite instructions being followed and agreement with the Landlord, no return of deposit as yet. Seem incapable of resolving the issue - or do not want to do so. A sad end to the tenancy and completely unnecessary. I would recommend you look elsewhere.
