As an estate agent myself, I am ashamed of both the agency and vendors (one of whom was coincidentally a previous colleague of theirs) that we bought our property from. To allow a family with a 10 month old baby to purchase a property in the middle of December with no functioning boiler (which they had confirmed was working), is disgraceful. The plumber, recommended by everyone in the village, confirmed that with vast list of issues with the entire system, the boiler could not have been functioning at the point of exchange. One of many issues, quoted from the plumber “Electrical connections to immersion exposed due to broken cover leaving lethal situation as only cover by lagging”. Whoever they had previously been using to check this system must have been a cowboy as this somehow wasn’t picked up, which leaves further concerns about who they enlist. When approached to ask how the will make good of this, their immediate response was not to offer any ounce of support or human decency, but to defended themselves and try to clear their names. As a company who pride themselves on reputation, shame on you.

An excellent and attractive brochure led to a good number of viewings by interested parties from a wide range of sources. The property went on the market at the start of a difficult market so took some time to finally achieve an acceptable buyer, but the energy levels and ideas from the team did not diminish at any point and produced a steady flow of viewings. I was kept fully informed throughout the process.
