Worst estate agent around! booked a viewing for a property in Newport., Chris Davis (the boss) was supposed to turn up but never did. Office staff didnt know where he was, he didnt answer any of my calls. Then apparently they had spoken to Chris but could not tell me where he was. Chris did not even have the decency to call me back or even send a text to explain what was going on. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH DAVIS & SONS NEWPORT. Honestly no idea how they are still trading. Have made the owner of the property aware that the estate agent has cost him the sale.

FacebookWhat a breath of fresh air Davis and Sons have been. my first time dealing with this agent and I must say there open and honest which believe me is rare having delt with some of the crooks in Newport (no names mentioned but I think I've encountered the worst a few weeks back)
melanie was amazing in dealing with my offer and I'd like to thank her.
I know the worst agent in town do feel free to ask and I'll tell you. Davis and Sons are genuinely a million miles ahead,trustworthy,honest and friendly.

FacebookOver the years we have bought and sold houses through Davis and Sons . The last house was bought in the covid pandemic and the staff were absolutely brilliant, it was extremely difficult to get in touch with the solicitor , a quick call to the office and one if the staff would help even contacting the solicitor for us . The most difficult sale they handled for us was the sale of my parents house, which was a very difficult time for us but once again the staff came up trump's for us treating us with care and compassion and made it as painless as they could.
Davis's offer a professional service with a caring attitude and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others

FacebookAvoid at all costs, very quick to get you a ‘sale’ (albeit empty sale) but the after sales customer service is appalling. They failed to complete the Memorandum of Sale with the purchaser which should have been done immediately after I had accepted the offer. It was only after I chased Davis and Sons for this they then informed me that they could not get hold of the purchaser and advised that I put the property back on the market, this was almost 3 weeks after I had accepted the initial offer - at no point had their office communicated to me that they were having issues contacting the purchaser. They then proceeded to tell me that my property was never taken off the market as it wasn’t ever SSTC, even though I was advised by a member of their team that I would need to evict my tenant and, a family friend called the office to view my property and was told it was under offer. It appears that the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. Feeling very disappointed and let down by the complete lack of customer service by the Davis and Sons Newport branch and have had no real explanation or apology following my emails to them.

Thank you for your comments as I explained to you this morning I have looked into this matter for you, the property in question you expressed an interest in has been marketed by ourselves and was until late last week tenanted via the landlord themselves. We were then informed last week that the vendor had decided to sell the property privately to a family member.
Through no fault of ours we have never been given access for viewings or was even given the opportunity to try and sell this property. I understand you are disappointed at not being able to view however if the sale falls through for whatever reason and it comes back onto our books we will come back you.
