We recently bought a house through Wilkie May & Tuckwood (which was not planned as we did have another house purchase lined up but for reasons outside of our control (very slow third parties…) this didn’t go through). Our chain below was ready to exchange but our purchase was nowhere near ready, so we had to make the decision to look at other properties as our chain looked as if it would fall apart if there was no progression. We found a house listed with Wilkie which my wife and I did fall in love with when we visited. We explained our situation to Thea and advised we would need to get the purchase through as quick as possible to try and keep our chain together. In record time (8 weeks) the house sale was through and we’ve now moved in and beginning to enjoy our new lives. Throughout the process, Richard, Thea, Mark and Vicky were incredibly helpful, responsive and friendly. I have no doubt in my mind that their work on this purchase is a big part of the reason why we were able to get the purchase through and save our chain in such a quick time. Even after the purchase had gone through, the team at Wilkie have still been willing to help with queries and questions we have about the local area and services. Honestly, if you’re looking at a house being marketed to through these guys you’re in safe hands. This is clearly a company who take pride in their work and the local area. We felt valued as buyers which was very refreshing. Thanks for everything you’ve done for our family!

Exceptional Service from Richard and his team of experienced property professionals, my sale was very tricky due to incompetent non-responsive conveyancing solicitors at the bottom of the chain. The team followed and chased daily and kept me upto date all the way, one of the benefits was having Vicky in the office who is a dedicated property sales progressor backed up with Faye and Abigail who offered a wealth of experience and advice. I have just bought our home through Wilkie May and Tuckwood. Working predominantly with Abi and Richard, we received a service that rivaled any other in the town. It was a long 18 months process to find the right home for us, while we waited for our home to sell and while we worked out what we really wanted with the budget we had. We disregarded the home we've ended up buying for a number of reasons, but we're encouraged to see it by Abi. On walking through the door, I got goosebumps that maybe this was it. I just knew there was something about it, but we just had to make the numbers work. With some careful thought and some negotiation with and by Richard, we got the house for a price that worked for us, allowing us to do the necessary renovations to make it our forever home. Having lost a buyer of the home we were selling along the way, having friendly and understanding faces in the Minehead office, was a real help. I honestly can't thank the team enough for taking the time to get to know our needs, almost to the point that you knew what we wanted, better than we did. Forever grateful. I first had a pleasant experience with Wilkie May & Tuckwood (Minehead) when I bought a cottage through them in 2018. Come 2021 and I decided to sell through them. IMO most agent have the same fee % and, with the www, get the same exposure these days so you really must judge which agent goes above and beyond on the customer service. Richard and his team at the Minehead Office really do this. The communication was great and the whole process managed professionally and smoothly. I found their advice and network connections extremely helpful and highly recommend them.

If your going to use an estate agent in minehead then my advice is use Wilkie May Tuckwood. We had a really hard time trying to sell our house after liz truss broke the economy and Wilkie's did a great job, working hard and staying proactive, helping us to stay positive.
