I had a very disappointing experience during my tenancy. There were numerous maintenance issues, and while I raised them promptly, it took ages to get anything fixed but they need rent on time. The management’s response was consistently slow and unhelpful. Important advice: • Take photos of everything when you check in, walls, furniture, appliances, even minor damages. The management tends to blame tenants for pre-existing issues and will try to deduct a large portion of your deposit for petty or unjustified reasons. • Speak with current tenants before moving in. Ask them about ongoing maintenance problems. If there are persistent unresolved issues, think twice before committing. • At move-out, again, take detailed pictures/videos of everything. Document even small details, this is your best protection. . Highlight any issues that you are facing during your tenancy and record that as a reference because you’re paying for a service and you should have a pleasant stay In summary, be very cautious during both move-in and move-out. Thorough documentation can save you a lot of hassle and financial loss. The most common thing I noticed is they try to take your whole deposit while you move out.

Very unprofessional service, no wonder why the room is vacant for over a month. I had viewing on 19th June and I was promised that landlord would not mind changing the carpet which was in very appalling state, paint came off from walls. After calling number of times, the guy called Marcus did not bother to answer the call or respond to my messages. When I chased him again today he sent this email reply: Thank you again for coming to the viewing, it was lovely to meet you too. After discussing your requests with the landlord, unfortunately we won’t be able to proceed with your application. The scope of changes requested, including furniture replacements and alterations to the room, falls outside what the landlord is able to accommodate at this time. They maintain Clarence House, MK9 1AY. When I moved into a flat in 2020, the lift wasn't working, and when I moved out in December 2023, the lift was still out of order. The lift typically functions only 2-3 months a year in this building, proving to be a persistent issue throughout my 3.5-year stay. Despite continuous requests to have it repaired before our move-out day, all we received were empty promises. Their insensitivity towards residents' problems became evident when one of their employees casually mentioned that the lift service engineer couldn't enter the building due to a lack of access code. Our flat was on the third floor, resulting in additional costs to the removal company as they had to manually carry 30-50 kg boxes.
