Buying a new build property can be a daunting experience at the best of times. Finding the best builder, development, plan, and house style that meets your lifestyle needs and budget does require patience and persistence! And then when the keys are handed over, one could argue that the next phase of this ‘journey’ has just begun. Fortunately, our experience with Wynyard Homes at The Steadings has been generally positive-particularly the sales and site management team. Yes, we have identified a number of snags and QC deficiencies post-handover, but this is unfortunately too common across home builders. What has made the difference is the approachable and understanding nature of the on-site team to ‘do the right thing’ and get things sorted. They are also decent folk who are empathetic…which seems to be in diminishing supply these days. Fortunately, post-6 weeks of residence, no major issues impacting our quality of life have been identified. The outstanding snag list is indeed being whittled down and we hope to see full remediation in the coming weeks. Well done team!

We are currently buying one of the Glen houses at Towerburn View in Shilbottle. This is a big move for us from Kent. We are bringing my mum back home after many years in the south. So far the service we have recieved from Joanne has been fantastic and is one of the reasons we are buying at Towerburn. Travelling up constantly to view different developments was very tiring. Joanne's time, patience and professionalism so far has helped make the process so much less stressful than it could be. We are really looking forward to our move knowing we are in good hands.

Joanne’s patience and understanding and support was so welcome when deciding to make that final move I knew I was in safe hands. Joanne kept me informed of what to do with my estate agent and solicitor ensuring I was able to secure my plot. On moving in we were given the site managers contact details for any issues or snags which i was quite surprised at because I've bought new build houses before and have had to go through a customer care department but Alex has been brilliant, great communication and gets things organised quickly.

We have been moved into our new property on Rennington Meadow since the end of March and couldn't fault any stage of our experience so far. Jan from the day we first viewed the estate has been brilliant and so welcoming even when we viewed the showroom 10 or 12 times! From day one of moving in Tosh our site manager ('the Boss') has been looking after us and has been great and any issue we need sorting he's on it or is updating us or giving us a knock to let us know progress. Buying a home is always stressful but the Team at Rennington Meadow make everything easier. Would highly recommend Rennington Meadow and Wynyard Homes.

The staff on Rennington Meadows site in East Rainton have been excellent and have made a stressful and drawn out move from South to North easy and straight forward. The Sales Team, Joanne and Jan are friendly and approachable and have even been a shoulder to cry on when our house sale in the South was proving really difficult. They have a wealth of experience in the housing sector between them and their guidance has been helpful and much appreciated. Every member of staff that we have come into contact with on site has been friendly and courteous. In particular Tosh the Site Manager, very customer facing, polite and courteous with a good sense of humour. No problem big or small is too much trouble for him. Any issue is attended to promptly, tradespeople are accompanied by him to ensure issues are dealt with to his high standards and your satisfaction. Considering that we are living on a building site there is minimal disruption, site vehicles are moved immediately to allow you entry and exit from site and never any building debris left to obstruct roads or pathways. A very clean site, down to good site management by Tosh. We are enjoying living here and don't regret our decision to purchase a property on Rennington Meadows.

Giving one star is been very generous in my opinion absolutely appalling builders. No customer service builds are cheaply done. They have destroyed our drive and front garden. THEY DONT CARE, Site manger assaulted my partner. These are the type of people you are dealing with. Please avoid buying, it's taken them years to sell these houses on Coniscliffe rise. PLEASE ASK WHY. Please ask any of the residents the experiences they have had. None have been pleasurable they will promise you the world, take your money no snagging lots wrong with houses.

Been in our home at Coniscliffe Rise for approaching 2 years with essentially none of our snagging work completed. Aftercare seems to be non-existent with Wynyard Homes. The communication is poor with emails mostly ignored. Site manager is rude and seemingly unwilling to help with any issues. We were promised that all problems identified would be dealt with prior to moving in, however, this was far from the truth. Avoid this company at all costs.

Looked at buying a plot on the dalton piercy development. Advised by Elaine (sales rep) the price for the bungalow we were interested in was £280k. Four people present who all heard the price given. We put our house up for sale then found out the price given was incorrect and had increased by £20k. We removed our interest and informed head office. My wife then received an aggressive phone call from Elaine the sales rep full of attitude calling us liars about the price given. Why on earth would we make that up? On that basis our house was put up for sale and a mortgage in principal received. We quickly removed the sale of our house before even more grief was caused. The most unprofessional sales rep we have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. We would never consider buying from this developer in the future. Thanks for wasting our time and money.

Never ever buy a house with these cowboys. I wanted a dream home and instead I'm left with a nightmare. Been here 18 months and still half of the jobs haven't been completed. Site staff talk to you like rubbish when you get on to them about completing jobs. We have had problems with leaking windows, crumbling plaster, our kitchen floor isn't level. Broken garage door. Interior Doors won't shut which I have pointed out this is a fire hazard. Having problems with shower and toilets. Drain problems, honestly the list is endless, they are friendly till you sign on that dotted line and take your money and then they are no where to be seen.
