I’m giving Gleesons 5 stars for their incompetence. I would not recommend buying from them as they would also get 5 stars for making excuses when reviewing your snag list. Remedial work is shoddy and often makes the problem worse, that’s when they can be bothered to turn up. Absolute rubbish!!!

We were going through the process of buying a Gleeson Home and visited a number of their sites as they seemed like good value.All a bit unfinihsed looking but...Then we saw their recent accounts just published in which they state the following:Number of homes sold 1,812Average Selling price £145,800Profit per House £41,600That level of profit on low value houses just seems massive and much greater than other housebuilders. Assuming their accounts are accurate (They're audited) and that they pay their workers and suppliers fairly - then they cannot possibly be building houses properly at this cost.It made me suspicious that maybe their houses don't comply with the very stringent Building Regulations.£41,600 average profit per house just seems too high to me for starter homesSomething's definitely amiss

They are an absolute nightmare . The drains are terrible and blame the neighbours baby wipes absolute load of rubbish . The house was so bad we moved after 7 months . We did get 2k compensation as I went to the papers and they told me to drop the report and they would give me 2k . They did start with 500 though . They are absolute terrible cowboys . All the good reviews seem to be those who are at sale point . You just wait you are going to regret it . Someone told me that and i ignored them I wish I didn't

Ruined our lives buying a gleeson home. Everything you can imagine is wrong with the house. We have had time off work due to stress for the shambles of the way our house has been built and the problems we have had. Avoid at all cost, everything is cheap, built quickly by kids & you will not hear from sales the minute they have your deposit.

Avoid this company. They have the worst customer care. They will hurry you and rush you through sales and then take your money and ignore your snags and problems. They will promise you x y z to shut you up but they will not deliver. Your house isn't freehold it's fleecehold: Restrictive Covenants with permission fees and estate management company charges which are currently unregulated and uncapped.

My son is a first time buyer. Is anyone can tell if Buyer want to purchase a Gleeson Homes, buyer MUST need to use and go through their Meridian Mortgages Broker , even buyer have own bank approval mortgages ? I have a doubt of this company Meridian broker and their mortgages adviser professional conduct. Unfaired treatment, sexual discrimination and racial discrimination. Disqualified my son Financial Qualifications without ask my son proof of documents. That's mean if they are happy to sell a house to you , you will qualified, if they don't like to sell a house to you, they will make a decision told you disqualified on the phone. Weird and suspicious broker ... I felt seems like a scam group to collection buyer personal data , such a passport, driving licence, bank statements , P60 ....etcHas been emails to relevant departments rised up a complainted and appealed. I must fight back their unfaired treatment unreasonable financial qualifications disqualified decision.

Very disappointed after purchasing my new home. Sales lady forgot to mention that my rear garden doesn't come with the purchase of the property. Now I'm left with no turf, no gate or partition and an unkempt garden. The front of the property wasn't cleaned . All other properties next to mine are tidy. Mine just stands out looking untidy with piecesof paper lying around. 'm so disappointed .

My gutters broke 3 times in 1 year.It took the cowboys 2/3 months to come back and 'fix' them, after many emails sent to the main office.The site manager is completely useless, only lies like 'the cowboys are coming this week', but nobody shows up, while all rain water pours down the wall of the house.When is this gonna be over, Gleeson?

Quick to take your money but once that handover is done they don’t want to know you, paid for them to lay my grass, the drainage isn’t working properly so now 80% of the grass is dead and just mud, they’ve closed the case on the portal without my signature, people will say they’re cheap house but they’re not but they are built cheap.

Awful.. Since moving in anyway.. Before we moved in everything was spot on, constant updates, being invited to look at progress, any questions answered no problem.. 2 years later its been a constant chase to get anything done! Excuse after excuse to not replace manky cupboards where water had leaked due to taps not being fitted properly, the bath wasn’t sealed properly so the bathroom skirting boards & flooring is a mess! Unfortunately we live in a house on one of those awful stone turning circles which is bald & builders throw their mess onto, again not their problem as apparently was all up to standard. The road in the street is a complete mess, all houses have been finished a year at least now & still ongoing issues with drainage & contractors dropping out of doing the job! This (thank god) is just our starter house to get us onto the ladder which we were hoping to stay in for around 5 years.. we’re 2 years in & can’t wait to move! Shocking customer service & they don’t give a loss what mess they cause & leave you to deal with once you’re in the house!AVOID

Gleeson at canal walk, Hapton have lied from day one. We have approved for a mortgage and signed up to the NHS priority program and had no information at all. Constantly having to contact them and being told we will phone you back and then no further contact. Excuse after excuse, if you can't provide quality customer care then do something about it. Makes you doubt the quality of the building structure if they can't even manage that. Get organised! The house we have waited on all year was given to someone else when we was supposed to get NHS priority, no contact yet again.
