If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. State of the roads and so called grass verges are abysmal. Supposed to be 100% owner occupied but some houses are rented. They are trying to change original plans to have a link road to a council estate, therefore misleading the original buyers as this definitely wasn’t on the cards. The reviews don’t lie. Lots of 1 star reviews and I can understand why. Shocking company and shocking estate. DONT BUY!!!!!!

What a letdown..

What a letdown! We were super excited to secure a spot in one of Hapton's new builds. We jumped through hoops, sold our home, and just when we were ready to seal the deal, bam! Head office decided to yank all the properties off the market.To make matters worse, the local sales office staff suddenly were rude. It's like they only cared about making a quick sale. Just seemed a bit odd. Honestly, this whole ordeal has left us beyond disappointed. I wouldn't dream of recommending Gleesons to anyone. We've wasted so much precious time, and have now left us in a position we have a sold property with nowhere to go. And let's not even get started on those absurd “fleecehold” policies! Maybe not buying a Gleesons property is a blessing in disguise?Trust me, save yourselves the headache and steer clear of Gleesons. They've shown their true colors, and it's not a pretty picture.I’ve spoken to their head office and there response is that they are all have been sold, and there’s another property but it’ll be 9 months or so before it’ll be ready and asked if I can rent until then … All the properties were pulled so it’s either an investment company have snatched them up, but there’s also a wider assumption that they were pulled from the market to hold them to sell them for a bit more money..

No such thing as part exchange

What a waste of time and effort. We wanted to part exchange our home for a gleason home, went through 2 estate agents coming to value our home, apparently the company they use only want houses 40 year old or less. They don't want to know about my Edwardian stone built house, they won't be able to sell it quickly.. is that all people are bothered about???? Profit profit profit, they don't care about people's feelings. The house we chose was perfect in every way, ticked all the boxes. Just to be smashed to earth. Part exchange... what a con. Useless, pointless exercise. Very disappointed with gleason. They need to inform people that the buying company dont want older houses.

Nearly two years since I moved in and…

Nearly two years since I moved in and still not completed customer service are as much use as a chocolate tea pot lies lies and more lies . Really pleased with the house just a shame the drive into the cul de sac and our houses still not done neighbours have rang often and each time customer service manager will give a new date I have rang leaving messages and do not get the curtesy of a call back managers up the line need to get a grip and stop believing lower management who say unicorns are real I would not recommend gleesons to a worst enemy . The stress it causes to customers is always overlooked and covered with more lies Do not buy a gleeson home they have no care once you pay for your home

Buyers be aware!

Just had yet another email from the 'customer service manager', stating we aim to complete our sites within 12 months of the build being finished. In my world 22 months is longer than 12 months! Again Gleeson have said that weather hasn't permitted completion of this site, yet they have managed to proceed with their next development which is only 1/2 a mile away! What an unprofessional attitude. Again, buying a new home should be a highlight for anybody. Gleeson have caused us so much stress over the last 2 years that I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. If we ever moved, I would never even view a Gleeson site again.

The new build saga continues.

The new build saga continues.Happy to confirm, that Gleeson remains being utter rubbish.1)We were promised an outside tap, as we never got the front of house turf we paid for when making the purchase of the house, six months later - still no tap, while being promised that (clearly, in another 6 months) the contractors will contact us to arrange a day for them to come and fit.2) The back door in the kitchen wasn't installed properly, so all the rain water that is supposed to stay outside is pouring inside the house under the brand new flooring, so now we have some beautiful mold growing under the laminate, courtesy of Gleeson, thank you :) The company, obviously, now wants to take zero responsibility and offers zero solution, citing, that 'we need to get someone to fix it ourselves and they will reimburse, but at the same time, they also are not sure if they can do that'.3) I will soon start sending pigeons to their head office, because there is clearly no other way to get in contact with CS, as the calls are useless, because you are told how sorry the are about this whole experience, but offer zero solution and CS are master at ignoring emails. I guess, the only way for them to respond is to start leaving not only snarky reviews on Trustpilot, but snarky comments on their social media again.I'll spell it out for you again: A V O I D

Do not buy from Gleeson Homes

Do not buy from Gleeson Homes, once they have you money they are not interested. Absolutely disgusting customer service during the buying process and aftercare. Just read the reviews.Black mould all over our en-suite and in the other bathroom the bath cannot be used due to the gap in between the bath and tiles! Still not fixed after being in the house nearly a year.The cherry on top for us is we have a detached home but our electric cables are in our neighbours land due to a mix up with the plans! We have asked for these to be moved since moving in but Gleeson dont reply.No other house on the estate has this issue, who would want a detached home with their property in their neighbours land??Our meter should of been fitted on the side we had access to as we knew we had no direct access to the side it is fitted on.Also check your main consumer unit and if it is over 3m from your meter you should have a cut off fuse.We are trying to have a EV charging unit fitted but due to the location of the electric meter is is proving to be a nightmare and will cost a fortune as it wont be classed as a standard installation! I would advise checking everything before you complete on your house, including the location of meters, boundary lines etc etc and if there is anything not correct do not complete till they sort it out as once they have your money they dont want to know.

Buying a new build home should be an…

Buying a new build home should be an easy transition if this is what you want then don’t buy from Gleeson homes!!!After being lied to by the sales representative and now being left with no outside area not fit for purpose we are so stressed it’s ridiculous. We have also had to have a full new kitchen and floor due to installation issues. Then to top this all off there have been a massive amount of snags which are still not rectified to an acceptable standard. I have been told there is no one I can escalate this complaint to, maybe a senior member of the group should come and acknowledge these issues and rectify them!!!! The amount of time taken off work and chasing the issues takes over your life maybe pay a little more and buy from another builder.

No grass in garden, lots of snag items! Misrepresentation…offered me £3,000. Deposit contribution but later took it away saying they had to use it to put flooring in, as house doesn’t come with flooring! Then installed cheap carpets as well. Had I known all this I would have bought from another builder! Unbelievable! What new build doesn’t come with grass or flooring? Now their website is advertising flooring as standard, included. They care team keep blowing me off and abating my complaints! NOT even a doorbell or porch light! My depression and blood pressure have gone through the roof!

Super house builder.

I love my Gleeson home! I purchased a Fergus on the Rainsborough Park development and I can't say anything bad. The finish was superb, the after care was amazing and I have had 0 problems with the home. I would 100% recommend Gleeson to anyone, myself and my partner are already talking about the future and purchasing our second Gleeson home.

We previously had a gleeson home and…

We previously had a gleeson home and everything was great we decided to buy another gleeson property and everything has been a nightmare since we bought a 4 bed and they have fobbed us off with alot of things like the air vents they should of been checked on our home demo so nothing will be done even though they come open when windy, the windows creak, the front door has gaps and loads of air gets in which makes the house freezing, shower wasnt fitted right, the toilets leaked and they tried to blame us, the stair at the bottom all cracked and unsafe would only fix with glue, door for the kitchen was on the wrong way, chipped tile in the utility room, the radiator’s upstairs there is something wrong with the valve as it tickes really loud when you put the heating on still not sorted but they are wanting to take all flooring up or dig holes out the ceiling to fix, multiple problems with doors dropping and scratched doors and the paintwork terrible. We had customer service bloke come round and sort the paintwork out he dropped paint on our carpets which we purchased our self and customer service are a joke and wouldnt do anything then we had someone come round and fix the oven housing as the oven was only screwed in with one screw the other has gone through the side panel, they changed the new york panel under the oven which was chipped which also took them 10month to sort out, also the drain water had come up through under the sink in the kitchen and soaked the unit which the wood had swelled so was asked to change it so they came out and they chipped our flooring and ripped it on one side from sliding equipment across the floor and the plumber also put the sink down on the floor with no cover which i wasnt there for at 1st but when they had left noticed they had done this. Gleeson customer service are a joke and wont own up to this and will not rectify it, i wouldnt buy another one from them as this should of been a great experience but its been by far the worst!!! Do not buy from these as you hear the horror stories and we might sound like wingers but you have to see it to believe it

DO NOT BUY A GLEESON PROPERTY!

As a first time buyer i wouldn't recommend purchasing a Gleeson property, to start with the selling agent lied to us through the whole process and had such an attitude repeatedly telling us she was one of Gleesons top sales agents, we were told the day we paid our reservation fee that we had to decide what extras we wanted then and there but wasn't able to see any of them, we wanted fencing and asked what type is it and was told to google 'hit and miss' which is what we wanted, on the day of completion we noticed that what we got wasn't what the sales agent told us we would get, when we reported this we was told Gleeson was change the fences or refund us the hundreds we had spent on them, they wasn't even level, they are less waves in the ocean! We've had so many faults we've lost count, several of them are reoccurring as Gleeson were unable to fix these to a satisfactory standard the first time which resulted in the fault returning days after they had 'fixed' it, we were told by members of the site team that they were aware of certain issues but don't go and tell the homeowner until the homeowner contacts them.The covenant is a waste of time as well! Everyone signs this within their deeds and we were told that any issues or breaches of the covenant we are to contact Gleeson as long as they are still on the estate and they will deal with the breaches, we have contacted Gleeson along with several of our neighbours but have been told that the covenant isn't legally binding and Gleeson wont be willing to do anything about any problems or issues homeowners have on the estate.DO NOT BUY A GLEESON!!! Thanks to Gleeson we will never buy a new build ever again! It is too much hassle, you expect from a new property not to have as many issues as we and all our neighbours are having, a few cracks maybe but ceiling falling down, stairs caving in, walls in the wrong place, driveways too small, ridiculous amounts of leaks all topped off by being told it is your fault, not the builders who built the bloody thing.
