After a considerable period of frustration going through the conventional sales route, and not receiving decent offers, we contacted Auction House for help, knowing little about auctions. we were helped and advised by Briony Grimshaw, who was very helpful, and kept us fully informed right upto auction day.We really should have gone down this route much earlier, and we ended up with a sale and at a price that we had not expexted.Well done AHWY

I was worried that this was an undignified way for my mother's house to be sold but, having decided to go with it, I recommend Robert and the team to anybody who is thinking of selling an empty property.Robert's efficiency and communication are second to none, making the process as painless as possible. If I had any problems or questions they were resolved by phone, text or email professionally and politely by the Auction House team.The fees are laid out clearly in advance and there are no hidden extras - about £600 upfront and then around 1.8% of the sale price.The auction itself is entertaining and stunningly skilful. You will be left in no doubt that they gave every opportunity for the highest bid to be realised. My mum would have loved seeing the spectacle, and the numbers whizzing up - no indignity at all, just good fun.The reserve price is set in agreement with you, and can be tweaked slightly if there's good reason to do so.Don't believe people who are naysayers about the future of your property when auctioned - this house went to a young couple who want to live in it as they start their family, not to a developer. That means a lot to me.Within four weeks of auction, all is done and dusted and the monies paid to us. The house got the same amount on balance that we would have got with an estate agent, with none of the worries.I would definitely sell at auction again if the sale price was not needing to be definite.

However, throughout I felt supported with some very clear guidance, featuring an excellent combination of professionalism and friendliness from all those with whom I dealt at auction house southwest. All of my questions were answered very promptly and clearly, meaning that I felt confident when bidding at the auction that I was as well informed as possible, both about the overall process and the details of the particular lot involved. The service we received from Auction House was superb from the first meeting through to the sale of our house. Mark was extremely pleasant to deal with and Jenny was wonderful, providing compassionate support throughout the viewing and auction process, while also always putting our wishes first. We could not have received better support from Jenny and we were delighted to have her as our liaison and representative. I cannot praise Jenny and the Auction House highly enough and would not hesitate to recommend their services to others.

Mark Upston was brilliant and could not help more. It is the first time we have purchased properties from an auction, and the first time we have bought rental properties. Mark answered all of our very long list of questions without hesitation. He offered to do the phone bidding before the day and talked us through the whole time the bidding was happening. This made it much less daunting knowing he knew exactly what to do. We did not feel pressured at all and he carried out our instructions perfectly. We won two properties which was our aim. He made it a pleasurable experience and we would definitely recommend Auction House and particularly Mark to anyone thinking of buying at auction. The whole process was made very clear and dealt with very professionally. Timescales of 28 days were all adhered to by Auction House. Mark also rang after the sale to make sure we knew what to do, and again once everything was completed. Thank you

I was very impressed by Chris and the whole team. Chris recently sold a commercial property for me through The Auction House although in the end the property was sold in advance of the auction for a fair price. The whole process was explained to me in detail at the beginning and communication throughout was very good. I would definitely use Edwards Moore again and would thoroughly recommend them.

I very rarely leave a review (and almost always when dissatisfied) but have been enormously impressed with this outfit. Having seen other poor reviews here i was initially sceptical about dealing with them. However, my experience has been fantastic. And I am therefore minded to balance the negativity I found here on Trustpilot.My wife and I were interested in a flat in the auction of 24May2023. The ownership, paperwork and general legalities were complex and my solicitor advised me not to touch it! However, I contacted London Auction House and the CEO, Jordan Philips, called me personally. He put me in touch directly with the seller’s solicitors and I was able to get straight answers to my questions direct from them. As a result I decided to switch my own solicitor to someone I had greater confidence in. His advice gradually became positive.In the evening of 22nd May, I mistakenly thought the flat had sold pre-auction as it did not show on their “Lots still available” tab (which I now know references Lots not sold at previous auctions!) I texted Jordan late that evening and he immediately confirmed that it was still available.The next afternoon - and after further reassurances from various parties - I consulted Jordan and made a pre-auction offer. This turned into a brief negotiation which Jordan handled personally with half a dozen phone calls or so. Within two hours of the deal being struck, the deposit was paid and contracts exchanged.I have nothing but praise for the entire process and particularly for the preparedness of Jordan (who I have still never met) to get involved and respond personally whenever asked. Such a rare quality in today’s world. As a postscript to this experience I asked for pre-completion access with architects which Jordan then organised with the vendor and offered to personally attend if necessary as the vendor’s agreement was dependent on London Auction House attendance. I wish Jordan and his company every success for the future.
