GoogleI pity those selling through Lucas, they don’t seem to be very motivated to sell houses!! I asked to view properties a couple of months ago, but wasn’t allowed until my property was on the market, which is fair enough. However, the day my house went on the market I phoned to ask to view a number of houses and was told by the agent she would arrange the viewings and get back to me. After a week of no news I tried ringing but there was constantly no answer, so I emailed to ask if there were any updates regarding the viewings I’d asked them to arrange. It has now been 2 weeks of no response and my house has sold within 2 weeks of going on the market, luckily I’ve found a house to buy through another agent but I truly pity those selling through Lucas as they have missed a potential buyer who is ready to proceed!

GoogleVery strange experience indeed!
Went online with an estate agent finder company.
They came up with Lucas and informed me they would be in touch.
After some time elapsed and no contact, I decided to contact them directly.
Someone from Lucas called me back and said they had a meeting and as a result did want my business. Must say I was a bit dumbfounded and somewhat intrigued I asked __ why?
No rational explanation was forthcoming other than “something to do with a former seller”
I terminated the phone call and have subsequently contacted a seemingly “normal” estate agent.

Thank you for your review, which we fully appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience. I have spoken to the agent in question and I believe there may have been a misunderstanding whilst trying to book your valuation. The valuer had a meeting with a previous client at the present time of the call so could not speak with you directly. The agent was aware that we previously sold this property and before the agent could arrange a suitable time and date to schedule a valuation the call was terminated on your side. The valuer did try to call you back but unfortunately we had no reply. Once again I would like to sincerely apologies for any confusion or misunderstanding .

It has not been without its challenges, but at every obstacle Lucas have been there to support. They arranged a mortgage broker, sorted our solicitors, managed the relationship with our buyers and the sellers up and down the chain. GoogleCalled recently to view a property internally (we had already viewed externally). From the off, the male member of staff (to protect his identity who’s name began with ‘A’) tried to talk down to me, talk over me, was rude, condescending and unprofessional. This person refused to book a viewing until I emailed photographic ID. This appeared irregular, when most local estate agents are happy with contact name, number and address to book a viewing. When I explained that sending ID was not secure, this person said it WAS secure and made out I was the one in the wrong by calling this process out. The only other way to book a viewing according to this person, was to attend the office to submit the ID in person. This would have been at least a two hour round trip the following day as apparently they were unable to offer that service whilst we were in the area on that specific day. I would never do business with this company, based on how the individual spoke with me. We purchased a very nice property elsewhere and the estate agent was excellent.NegativeProfessionalism
