Brilliant service, Ben came and viewed the house, very friendly, easy to talk to, very knowledgeable. He stated he would sell our house, he also undercut our other estate agents fee’s. The came to every viewing to walk the clients round and we just answered questions, this was a lot better and took the pressure off us. Well he did sell our house, quite quickly, thank you Ben. The rest of the team were also great, very helpful and did everything we asked from them. The sale progression team, great. Chelsea thank you. If I were ever to do this again I would definitely use them again and I am currently referring them to other people if they need estate agents

An outstanding service from start to finish from the whole team at Home Local. I felt like the service was personally tailored to my exact requirements, I had 8 viewings organised for one day, with good attention to timings and all buyers in a strong position. The bidding process became competitive and was managed very professionally. I received advice, guidance and support in this respect. I was updated throughout and almost daily in the few weeks leading to completion. Selling your home can be a very stressful experience and the team at Home Local made mine a pleasant one. Sadly, I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with home local estate agents and I feel that other buyers should be aware of my experience. After calling to arrange to view a property, and being told on two separate occasions that an offer had been put in, but that the offer was not accepted and that I could still view, I think it was the same person I spoke to both times (this was less than a week ago).... it is frustrating to now see online it has sold without any contact from home local whatsoever. I called up to ask about this after I saw online that it had been sold. The lady, Sarah I spoke to was very sarcastic on the phone, laughing, then saying that she wasn't laughing and she was just being friendly, she repeated this multiple times even though it was very obvious that she was laughing. She was on speaker and my friend heard this too. The whole situation seemed to revolve around her and a property she lost from a similar situation not that I needed to know that as it was completely irrelevant. I am extremely disappointed with home local from the very first phone call when I was told I could view it and I get a call back (but they didn't call me), the second call I made to them which again stated I could view it (but again no call back) to the third phone call with the woman laughing and going on about her own personal situation and also telling me this property had been sold for 3 weeks, which was not what I was told when I spoke to the guy. This company was unprofessional from the start, how can this company be trusted with such a big purchase or advertise properties I seriously do not know and I will be contacting head office regarding this situation!

I have been ringing Home local for over a week for a viewing. They have been saying we will get someone to come back to you. I have been ringing 3 times a day for a week and no one has not got back to me. Home local truly do not know how to talk to customers and people, They are like third nipples completely useless. Do not give them your property to sale or rent coz they do not know how to talk to people, Keep away from them they will give you more problems and issues instead of trying to help.

I share this a year later as they threat to sue me when I said I will share how they treated me. They only care about their fee and treat you like your a peasant. This is opinion and my story of how I felt I was dealt with. Where to start... Despite offering to take the photos myself as it is what I do, I was told that they owned a property photography company that could provide amazing marketing, they uploaded photos of our property. Without trying to slander them and others all I can say is I was not impressed at all. When I confronted this I was called by Lewis the director. Which ended up in a back and forth that we had only been given their smaller package smaller of a £3000 fee which majority of other agents was offering £2000 with amazing marketing. (we choose them due to condition of purchasing a property through them) however he insisted he had the best stats for the area. He then said I can take my own even though we was now 4 days later and If I said earlier when we went onto the market I would have had them done ready to go live. A few days past and we decide to pull out of the property due to a problem we found with the neighbouring pub. (nothing to do with home local) when we pulled out of the property we also wanted to come off the market with home local as we originally intended on using another estate agent who we originally wanted to go with as they was cheaper fee with much better marketing too. This is where it really took a turn for the worst, I had 4 calls with the three guys Sean, Ben and Lewis over a period of time. The 4 calls were defensive and argumentative, they claim it was (informing me of the industry) Although it takes two tango my main aim was to be taken off the market with themselves. One of them claimed we could not come off the market as we had signed a contract in branch giving us no 14 day cooling off period even though it wasn't signed in branch at all. Once we argued with them proving them wrong they allowed us to come off the market and then we had calls from them informing us of laws and why they are the best. After waiting for a full weekend and another 2 working days pass we was taken off after a phone call and an email of Lewis explaining my situation again. Now I understand we may be on the lowest package and lewis made a very good point of this during our call, however reflecting I would say 50% of estate agents are less than your fees (average of 1.14% across the UK = our property being £200,000) and provide much better photos. I would also like to add that even though it may just be an apartment and as they have all reminded me and we are only paying £3000 which every-time mentioned to them it was clearly nothing to any of them. BUT to me and my partner this is our biggest purchase, this is our home, this is our first time selling and you’ve actually made it horrible, I've never felt this way towards a company.

I have a home to sell and was enquiring about a property that has been listed on Zoopla for quite some time now. I was told this property was under offer before. I hoped the property came back on the market and asked the lady who picked up the phone in what seemed to be an already frustrated manner. She could have easily said there must have been some misunderstanding and that bookings for viewings had reached it’s limit. However, she persisted to be rude and patronising towards me. She also raised her voice at me which I don’t think she realised she was doing. It was very unexpected. When I addressed her raising her voice, she said “well thank you very much for the feedback bye” and hung up on me. I have never experienced such callous behaviour from a local estate agency before. I am glad Home Local will not be assisting me when I am selling my home or buying a new one as I am really unhappy with the way I have been treated from the onset of the telephone call. Please train your Sales/Lettings agents and teach them how to treat potential clients respectfully. It is the bare minimum. Kind Regards,

Found Home Local to be amazing from start to finish. Started contacting estate agents to sell my property in lockdown, some of the more established in Maldon didn’t bother getting back to me at all. The minute I walked into the office they were all friendly and welcoming, they updated me regularly and I didn’t have to chase or nag them once. If I did ring with a query and they were away from the desk I was contacted within minutes.
