GoogleI am about to move in with a friend of mine, his previous place he was renting through this estate agents and if we could give 0 stars we would. The whole time he lived where he was (he had a downstairs room at the front of the house) the windows were broken... meaning anyone could open them from the outside- even when locked! And the windows were big enough to climb through as well meaning the whole time he was there he was vulnerable to break ins. The oven also never worked (except the hobs) and was replaced (3 months after he moved in) with only a bad value combi oven that took 40 minutes for what should have been 15 minute oven food (I.e onion rings). They stopped coming and doing fire alarm checks even though they stated it would be done monthly. Everytime he left he would lock his door and come back to it unlocked (only the estate agent and landlord should have had a spare key for his room). The washing machine broke about 5 months after he moved in and was left for the tenants to replace or fix themselves. All these issues were reported to the agent but no consideration or care was ever given, nothing was ever changed or fixed. Upon wanting to leave he phoned them at the start of last month and was told that it was fine for him to leave. He was then told at the end of last month it wasn’t fine and they required a months written notice (which is understandable but why say it’s fine originally). The agent then took a week to text his email address which he had asked for during the phone call where he were told we would need a written notice (he was told he could do this via email) meaning he then had to hand the notice in even later meaning he then had to pay an additional months rent for a room he handed his keys in for before rent was due. He then asked for his deposit back and the agent has been awful about it, he won’t send the link that is required for my friend to log in and accept his deposit meaning he will have to wait even longer to have it returned to him. This company only cares about how much money they can get out of you and do not care at all if you’re living in an unsafe home in unliveable conditions.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
