Claybourne Development

We have reserved a property on the Claybourne development and are eagerly awaiting completion. We have been looked after by Lesley, who has been nothing short of exceptional. She arranged us a viewing on the same day that we enquired, talked us through the process and has kept us informed every step of the way. Our phone calls have always been answered or returned and our questions answered promptly . There has been no pressure and nothing has been too much trouble. The service has been fantastic, if this is any indication as to the quality of the property then we can’t wait to move into our Crest Nicholson home.

I can't thank Dylan at Walton Court Gardens enough for all of his help and support. His customer service has truly been outstanding from day 1 and has always gone above and beyond from sending over all plans and videos of apartments months ago to being flexible on appointments and always there offering great genuine advice. Being a first time buyer can be extremely daunting but he is making it a smooth and easy process.

Our flat is in Clapham

Our flat is in Clapham, South London. We purchased it at the time the development was completed in 2013. Within days we were experiencing problems (within the demise) and there are massive on-going problems with the fabric of the building.Within days the toilets were backing up - the downpipe was full of building materials. Soon after there was evidence of water leaks in the bathroom - the waste pipes from the shower and bath had never been screwed together properly. These were just some of the "minor" issues that we suffered in the early days. Getting CN to accept responsibility and fix the problems was a nightmare.There have been on-going water ingress problems in massses of the flats yet at a meeting with CN and NHBC years ago, they denied the roof was defective. It is now looking like the roof is going to have to be replaced.We and others have had problems with our balconies.We are just discovering that the fire-stopping is inadequate.I would never, ever recommend that someone buys a property that has been built by CN.

We have just bought a 2 bed Elmswell at the Claybourne development with help to buy. We have spent a week settling in and have been very impressed by the customer service provided by Crest Nicholson. Lesley was our sales advisor and has been brilliant! Lesley has helped us settle in and provided a smooth ride from start to finish being a first time buyer. The property was spotless when we moved in and so far very little snags. We would recommend Crest Nicholson for first time buyers and have been very much looked after.

I just about didn't buy one.

My wife and I bought a new home in Highlands Park, Henley on Thames. But we just about didn't after reading all the terrible reviews. Despite this we took the plunge and so far, only a week, we have been absolutely delighted. The house is beautiful, some small snags that have been courteously and very quickly remedied.Helen Niles was fantastic as was Tom, the site manager. Nothing is too much trouble. The experience of the other residents I have met so far has been similar to mine. Perhaps we just got a good estate, but I will update if things deteriorate.

The brilliant Lesley and Darren at ClaybourneWanted to briefly share our experience and have to say that from the word go its been floorless journey. I employ a lot of people and I am in business with many more I would say I have learnt how to recognize false people and genuine people. Leslie was so warm so welcoming and so genuine my partner and I had been shocked at how unprofessional and uninterested all the other sales teams were that we encountered at various other builders it actually became a bit of a running joke between us during the time we were looking to buy, thankfully that all changed when we walked into the Crest sales office in Steeple Claydon.Leslie and Darren the site manager demonstrated incredible communication throughout the process I can honestly say I never waited more than 1 hour for a return phone call or an email reply and obviously we had many things to do. The process was so smooth and then we came to moving day and we got the keys to our fantastic new home a brilliant plot with everything done as we asked.We will always be able to look back at that time with fond memories despite all the bad things that were going on with the pandemic and I put that down to Leslie and Darren's professionalism, work ethic, and integrity we will always be grateful to them both and to Crest

This review is for our plot at Tiptree (Nine Acres).Carol and Lucy made us very welcome from day one and still continuing to this day.Carol is very knowledgeable and any question we asked was answered without hesitation. Lucy is a trainee and again is knowledgeable without hesitation. These 2 ladies make life alot easier in our purchase with showing us the show home and all the designs and upgrades. Dont hesitate in a Crest Nicholson home. Trust me we viewed a few developers sites and this one was by far the best.

Crest Nicholson are absolutely abysmal (and that's being nice)

Crest Nicholson are absolutely abysmal, i have never seen customer service like it. They dont respond to emails or calls, its as if the customer service department is having its emails read by Stevie Wonder and the phone calls answered Beethoven. My Father was going to buy the house 3 doors down but i told him not to after the issues we have been having. Crest if you are there, please close up shop just so no one else has to go through the misery that so many people on here are experiencing.Ps. Please dont come back with your "Robot like response " have some balls and just put your hands up and fix the problems.Lots of love A very unhappy Crest home owner!!!P.S.S. i Live on the Borrows Site. Lauren at Arborfield has been great. Nice, honest lady and we have just reserved a plot. Lovely to work with someone who has an honest, friendly approach.So far we’ve been very impressed. The first visit the flat was flooded but on the second viewing we had an explanation from the site manager who was nice to deal with. Unless you want to be waiting 80+…

Unless you want to be waiting 80+ minutes to get out of your estate due to the construction companies poor planning of new builds onto main roads meaning they then have to dig up half of it creating roadworks that create tons and tons of traffic don’t bother!
