PLEASE AVOID THIS AGENT AT ALL COSTS. 1. Lack of Ethics and Neglecting Tenant Health: We have sent countless emails over the past two years, requesting that they address the mould problem in the property, which was present when we moved in. Despite repeatedly mentioning how the mould was seriously affecting our health, they have chosen to ignore us. As a basic human decency issue, it’s difficult to understand how they can disregard a health hazard and allow tenants to live in such poor conditions. 2. Unjustified and Excessive Charges: As several other reviews have noted, we spent over £300 on professional cleaning at checkout and left the property in a significantly better condition than when we moved in. However, Moretons charged us an additional £200+ for “recleaning,” which feels like a scam. Given the state of the property when we checked in, I strongly suspect that this “recleaning” never even took place. 3. Unfair Deposit Deductions: On top of the cleaning charges, they deducted numerous unreasonable items from our deposit. We went through months of disputes with the deposit scheme and, in the end, received back most of what we were rightfully owed, but this was a drawn-out and stressful process. If you’re already dealing with this agent, I highly recommend you challenge any unfair charges and go through the dispute process to reclaim what you are entitled to. We cannot allow such unethical agents to continue operating without consequence in the UK, and we must hold them accountable for their actions.

I've been a tenant with Moretons for 5 years. They provide absolutely outstanding service and never ever gave us cause to worry. Maintenance issues are promptly solved and fixed, they respond to all communications professionally and politely. They are extremely reasonable and it makes a huge, huge difference having a letting agent who you can trust with making sensible decisions that affect where you live! My landlord decided not to renew the contract this year unfortunately so I couldn't stay with Moretons - but they handled the end of the tenancy with kindness and consideration. As others have mentioned. Moretons admitted not having professionally cleaned the properly for our tenancy start. Since we left we are still waiting on our deposit to be returned. They are trying to charge us for silly things despite us returning the property in better condition than which we found. Be very wary with them. Once you leave, communication drops off a cliff and things take an age to sort out. Hopefully they will return our deposit soon.

I have been renting my apartment from Moretons for more than 3 years now, and I must say they are a true example in terms of professionalism and honesty. Our flat has been heavily flooded close to the end of our lease term, and I still can’t thank them enough for their proactivity, efficiency and kindness overall. Moretons is a letting agency you can trust, that has your best interest in mind, I couldn't recommend them more!

The flat handed over to me was filthy. Had to deep clean myself. At the end of the Tenancy they had the nerve to charge for cleaning when I handed over a perfect Flat. One of those Agencies that rip People off by whatever means they can. Avoid avoid avoid
