GoogleOne of the worst London estate agents I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Nick, in particular, is an actual joke, awful at his job and not to be trusted. Firstly, he called to inform that he didn't have the keys for a property I was supposed to be viewing less than half an hour before said viewing so I was already on the way when he left a voicemail. I travelled 45 mins across London to be there, when he arrived he was barely apologetic and seemed to think it was a big joke. He rearranged the viewing for the following morning.
Secondly, as I had arranged to be the first viewing of that property he promised me that in the rescheduled viewings I would be first to see the house the following day. When I arrived to the rescheduled viewing Nick was already in the house showing people around. As a result of this the people who viewed it first put in an offer 10 minutes before I did, which should have never happened had Nick honoured his promise to me. What's even more ironic is the fact that when he spoke to my housemate on the phone (very rudely, again not at all apologetic), he came up with a bunch of non-excuses saying 'they showed up early' and said that he had to honour their offer. Seeing as he's such an honourable man, I don't quite understand how he failed to honour the agreement he made with me first about keeping the viewings in the correct order.
UPDATE: having read the response from the owner (2 years after the original review!?) I can confirm they are lying. I was not late for my appointment and my offer was not ‘unacceptable’ and absolutely did not include any specific requests, it was exactly what the landlord asked for. Dirty lying estate agents. Don’t trust them.
I can see that they reply to any negative reviews with similar responses that imply that the person who left it is lying. Would you want an estate agent who is incredibly defensive and will gaslight you if anything goes wrong?

Thank you for your review. We have looked into the circumstance of your comments and according to our records you were late for your original appointment and due to this factor other parties were subsequently booked in every 20 minutes thereafter. When we finally received your offer, this was put forward to the landlord who then decided to proceed with an alternative offer. Furthermore, it appears that your offer was based on specific requests which were deemed unacceptable to the landlord. At no time did we, the landlord nor the negotiator mislead you in anyway.

I had a most horrendous experience with Michael Charles Lettings.
They DID NOT disclose the scope of renovation that was due in big block of flats at Rochester mews corner of Rochester place (NW1 9JB) and did not inform or fixed the many problems that were inside the flat (Intercome, blinds, windows, balcony lights, building works, noise + dust etc). Overall a misleading and dishonest conduct which forced me to make endless complaints to the PRS, to Camden noise pollution and also to the police. I barely had a single day without a problem.
A most shocking and terrifying living conditions for both my little child who was six years old and myself for 20 months.
I had to make several complaints to the PRS theprs.co.uk and for that I was given a total compensation of just £400. I agreed to such a low compensation as I did not have the time, energy or money to go to Court.

He is responsive and easy to communicate with, and has made the moving process as easy as it could have been. After experiencing different (difficult) London letting agents in the past, I really appreciated having one point of contact for the whole process from flat viewings through to references and contract, and now as a point of contact between us and the landlord. GoogleDespite looking to rent during pandemic, we've found Michael Charles extremely warm, responsive and accommodating. They were thorough with inventory, connected us with services and showed us alternate properties when others were snapped up, as well as adapting quickly and helpfully to a more distanced renting process. When we had an issue with our electrics, a quick message and the problem was solved the morning after.
