We dealt directly with William Hale, the Sales Manager, who has been very professional and helpful throughout all the various stages of the sales process.
We were regularly updated on viewings and all relative aspects once a sale had been secured. Fees are also reasonable .

GoogleLettings agent who overcharge tenants for leases and deposit deductions which are now considered illegal. The new legislation will thankfully stop companies like this from ripping off tenants. I was excessively charged for chemical carpet cleaning without negotiation, for a tiny stain, which, as a landlord myself, I would not charge for. I paid for an end of tenancy cleaning service and they still charged me an excessive amount for another cleaner due to hardwater build-up on a tap which was there when I moved in, which they denied.

We do not recognise this person on our database, the last identical name dating back to 2013. To allow us to make a detailed response to this assertion, we require the address of the property in question, and date of tenancy cessation. To be clear, we have never made any charge to any tenant/s for leases and the assertion that we have 'ripped of tenants' is wholly unsubstantiated and incorrect. We shall respond to this review in detail once we have enlightenment and we question if C.Byne has the right agency ?

GoogleDo not rent from these. Very rude staff, our landlord actually worked for comber and co too and we had nothing but issues whilst in one of their property, from things breaking repeatedly from being done so cheaply, to being told the garden would be done by the end of March, we moved in on 3rd march and the garden wasn't usable until July when they finally did it but even then turned it into a big cat litter box of shingle after we informed them this would not be suitable with the amount of cats in the area, the membrane was still showing, the grass grew through the membrane, the garden step was broken slabs chucked together, again we was told this would be sorted and never was, we could not use the garden at all! You get charged £95 to check out!! They very slighly put this in your contract without putting the actually amount so often gets unnoticed, never have I heard of a check out fee, and one of that amount is ridiculous. Our checkout report wasn't completed until the day after we left the property and the new tenants had already moved in so their check out report was totally unacceptable and yet they still charged us for further cleaning to be done. The property was not professionally cleaned before we moved in, I had to scrub it myself, we left the house in a much better state than what we moved into and yet they still demanded money out of our deposit. We had the carpets professionally cleaned and gave them a receipt for this and yet they were trying to tell me they hadn't been cleaned, ridiculous! Very rude money grabbing staff, they will try get as much money out of you as possible for no valid reasons. Will never recommend these to anyone.

I am the principal of the company and as stated by the tenant, the landlord was indeed a staff member in the residential sales department, not rentals, and dealt with all matters regarding to this let personally. My company had no involvement in this let in any shape or form, and all matters were dealt with between the landlord and tenant, not ourselves. Furthermore, we have received no financial benefit relating to this let and the member of staff, who is no longer in our employ, simply used our ability to access the search engines for finding a tenant, and no more. Indeed, my company was not notified of any discrepancy or altercation by either party. The reviewer has referred to “very rude staff”, yet the only person she would ever have dealt with would have been with the landlord directly, who indeed was employed in our sales department at the time. As such, my company was totally oblivious to any issues, and to claim that she dealt with very rude staff, is wholly inaccurate and misleading. I cannot comment on the issues raised by the tenant, as we were not employed as the letting agent.
We as a company are therefore unable to comment on any issues regarding this matter.

GoogleIt has been an amazing time renting a flat with Comber & Co. I rented a flat with them for 6 months and have moved out a few months ago. The staff are professional, efficient and extremely kind people. The flat that I rented was from the Victorian age and understandably had some small glitches. Staffs at Comber & Co (Dawn, Debby, Susan) were extremely helpful in fixing problems - they replaced the old fridge with a new one and helped me get comfortable settling in the flat. During my stay, they were always there when I had any problem. Towards my checking out, they were tremendously helpful in advising and helping me getting rid of my second-hand furniture, e.g. providing contacts for local charities. They went above and beyond as a renting agency, making the renting experience very enjoyable throughout. I cannot recommend Comber & Co enough.
