Throughout the whole process of buying a new house, I spoke to countless estate agencies, so when I came across Oliver at Chancellors, I knew he was an absolute gem! He patiently listened to what I was looking for ( I found it wasn’t very often that an agent actually listens), built a rapport, suggested a relevant property that ticked my boxes and I loved straightaway. Daylight robbery... I'm £80 out of pocket and have got nothing to show for it. It is Chancellors process to refer you to Lifetime Legal for an AML check before your offer is submitted. This consisted of: 1. 5 min call to run an experian check and take your card details. 2. ID check on the Credas app. I'm aware of this fee, but only after your offer is accepted (Purplebricks charges £60, but most estate agents will not charge the buyer a penny). My offer was rejected and therefore I have lost £80 for a check that costs less than £15 when done by a solicitor. I'm now checking with each estate agent whether they have these fees in place as I cannot fall in love with a property and pay £80 to submit an offer each time and be £100s out of pocket - it's ridiculous. No problem with the people that work there. Just with whoever decided to pass on the AML fee to the buyer and profit from it.

I recently just sold a property via Daania and Oliver. They are really a dream team. I went to two other estate agents and had the worst experience, limited viewings, inconsistent and limited feedback. And then I went to Chancellors. Everything changed for the better, Oliver was in touch on a regular basis, actively searching for potential buyers and providing feedback on viewings and guiding sale strategy, it was great. I just felt just ease working with Oliver and he’s just a good guy all round. Daania got the actual sale and she was easy to approach and available when I needed to speak to her, she’s very personable and easy to get on with. I also went for a recommended solicitor via Chancellors and they did a decent job. Great job Oliver and Daania! I also went through Chancellors

I really do not recommend anybody use these estate agents, especially for sales- but also for rent. They are not helpful, completely abdicate their responsibilities and I completely regret ever doing a sale with them - I wish I had never got involved with them and advise everyone to stay away.

Matthew and Liam at A&R have been absolutely brilliant in helping us to sell our house. Their professionalism and attention to detail were second to none. I was kept informed at all stages of the process of selling our house and their advice and good humour cannot be faulted. We felt very supported and well represented as we went through the emotional process of selling the family home. Phone calls were always returned promptly and if any negotiation had to undertaken, they were both straight on to it - we never had to chase any aspect of selling the house. I thoroughly recommend A&R, and in particular Matthew and Liam, to any potential sellers out there. Thank you both for all your hard work!

We came across Anscombes when we went to view a house they were marketing which we really liked. We then put our house on the market through them the following week at a competitive commission rate. We had great photos done and viewings were arranged really quickly. From putting our house on the market at beginning of Feb, to finding a buyer, losing a buyer, finding another buyer, and then moving into our new house at end of July, 6 months start to finish was pretty good going I think. Liam and Matthew were very professional, approachable and responsive. They also encouraged us to deal direct with our buyer on a sticking point with their solicitor. This ended with things being resolved very quickly and I would encourage others to have direct contact between themselves rather than relying completely on solicitors. Despite a few minor hiccups, looking back the process was really very straightforward. I would use Anscombes in the future and recommend them to others.
