Very happy with the service from Hunters throughout the purchase of our new home. Communication was clear, professional and helpful from start to finish and the team kept us updated throughout the process. A special thank you to Sinead, Nicky and Charlotte their service was excellent. They were always helpful, responsive and professional and whenever we had questions or needed something chased, they did their best to keep everything moving smoothly. Buying a house can be stressful but the support from the Hunters team made the process much easier. I would definitely recommend them to anyone buying or selling a property.

Although it feels like a lot of money, I’d say that it is worth paying for the service you get. The whole team at Hunters Littleborough were consummate professionals. Our house was sold within 2 weeks so nothing much to do you would think, however the work after the sale is so much more. The chasing, the liaising between sellers and buyers and their individual solicitors is something I’d underestimated. Special shout out to Nicky Waddell who was calm under pressure and just brilliant! I don’t know how she does it but I’m glad she does, thank you Nicky. If you’re looking for estate agents in the area then I’d 100% recommend Hunters.

This company doesn't seem to care…

This company doesn't seem to care either about their prospective customers or their existing landlords. I have an outstanding issue with their poor tenant management at a property that they have let for a number of years and their failure to recover documented damage after the tenant vacated the property. Nobody is answering my emails. The owner has notified his landlords that yet another staff member has left the company, they are notorious for being unable to retain staff. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I was really impressed with the valuer's sales pitch and genuinely believed they would be the best firm to sell my home. The fact they had a relationship with Ryan property law also played a part, although that turned out to be a disaster, but that's a review for another day. Experience of sales team - Georgia is so lovely and was a pleasure to work with. However, even after a week, the sole promotion strategy was pushing me to lower the price, which I eventually caved into and feel like I would have got more money had I gone with an approach suggested by a different agent. I had over 30 viewings, which was exhausting preparing the house for. Most of these were time wasting - one definitely a pseudonym (why don't they ask for ID checks?) and at least 10 weren't actually people who were in a position to buy (not got house on market or it would turn out they'd offered elsewhere). The buyers buyer (also buying through Hunters), was not vetted correctly or there was a big cover up. If there was a cover up, Hunters couldn't tell me, because they had such poor record keeping. I was sent evidence of some record keeping with regards to something else (hello GDPR breach!) and it was full of typos and omissions. Sales progression experience was horrific. Thankfully they eventually replaced the person, as I could go on and on with my list of what she did that was totally unprofessional, but worst bit is she could have put my children at risk if it had been a DV situation, as she told everyone in the chain my new address and all the addresses of everyone in the chain, repeatedly. I repeatedly complained about her and they left it far too late to do anything. Absolutely appalling and this estate agent caused so much additional stress to what was already a horrific chain. I would not recommend to anyone.

100% recommendation from us! Sinead and her team know how to get a job done, and do it well. From initial contact with Charlotte it was clear that these ladies work as a seamless team. Valuation, photography and brochure were produced within days and went to market within 5 days of initial contact. Photographer excellent. We spoke with Sinead herself, along with Iona who organised viewings and feedback. They proactively contact people in the market for a similar property which meant we had a sale agreed in principle the first weekend. (Yes Iona I am still in shock) All viewings were accompanied by a member of the Hunters team. Nicky then kept us informed of the sales progress through to eventual completion. Ladies it’s obvious you enjoy what you do, work as a team and excel at selling houses with your no nonsense accurate valuations. Highly recommend to everyone

Dreadful Experience

We booked valuation. Confirmed twice no show. She eventually came late at night & we fell for the speel. Big mistake just full of empty promises. No response to phone calls or emails. 17 days before first viewing. Buyers were not vetted as we were told. Some hadn't even got their house on the market. It was a truly horrible experience. Finally got a offer £30,000 below asking price! THEN I had an long email telling me we should take it ! They are beyond rubbish. They take on too many clients & cannot give you the time. They don't even ask if appointment is convenient to you. One word ....Jokers Two words....Avoid Avoid If I could give zero stars I would

One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters

One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters auction. House was listed on website and tenanted for a fixed amount of rent which I was told by the auction agent called Robert. Also house was in bad state but got told tenants don’t care so why do you. Only to find out later on that tenants have never paid anywhere near that amount and it’s so much lower. So was lied to first of all and then later to meet the tenants and for them to tell us all the work they was promised and they wanted the house fixing top to bottom. What an absolute joke and waste of time and money. Keep your money and go elsewhere they will tell you anything just to sell a house that is overpriced

Rude, poor service - a must avoid for renters

Rude, get passed around from pillar to post while they try to ignore your requests or questions. Tried for years to get them to fix things but just continually fell on deaf ears. Now they're trying to claim issues are my fault which are down to shoddy contractors (which they use consistently, including at one point despite having had yearly gas checks, I get told that the previous 6 years hasn't been done properly and the build up that caused a leak was because of this. Everything is everyone's issue but theirs. Renters, avoid at all costs!

Hunters Littleborough were the Estate Agent for both our sale and purchase properties and we couldn’t fault the experience we had. Emma came to do our initial valuation and she was fantastic. She was well prepared, provided lots of valuable information and answered all of our questions before we even asked. This gave us the confidence to proceed with Hunters for our sale. They continued to be super helpful throughout the entire process, always on the end of the phone, and nothing was too much trouble. From arranging viewings, agreeing the sale and purchase, and continuing to chase and progress the transaction throughout (thanks to Nicky)! Awful customer service

I remain deeply disappointed in the way my most recent complaint has been handled at their Newcastle branch. The way the branch manager speaks to tenants is appalling! If you have a complaint then don’t expect any sympathy or accountability. We have rented this property for 11 years and in that time, we have been superb tenants but sadly that doesn’t mean anything to them. I anticipate a reply to this which will more than likely attempt to completely contradict what I’ve written here but just know that our experience has not been a positive one!

Nightmare move

I used Hunters to sell my home after living there for approximately 35 years. I want to acknowledge that the sale itself was complicated and involved significant delays, including probate and Land Registry issues. Hunters did work to keep the sale progressing, and I recognise the time and effort involved in that process. However, my experience on completion day was extremely distressing. I was still in the process of removing my belongings when the buyers and members of their family arrived at the property. My family and I were placed under considerable pressure to remove a lifetime of possessions as quickly as possible. My belongings were outside and in the street, and I felt deeply embarrassed, overwhelmed and humiliated by the circumstances. I had expected the handover of my home to be handled in a calm and organised way. Instead, what should have been an important and emotional moment after 35 years in my home became one of the most distressing experiences I have ever had. I raised a formal complaint with Hunters. The agency investigated the matter and explained that they had followed their usual procedures and were not aware that the buyers intended to attend the property at that time. I appreciate that Hunters were not present at the property and therefore could not comment directly on everything that happened there. I also appreciate that the completion process itself is controlled by solicitors and that many aspects of the timing are outside an estate agent's control. However, I remain deeply upset by the way the handover unfolded and by the experience I had on the day I left my home. I believe clearer communication and better coordination of the physical move may have prevented the situation from becoming so distressing. Having considered my experience and the response to my formal complaint, I would not recommend Hunters based on my experience of the completion and handover of my property. This review reflects my personal experience and the impact the events of completion day had on me.

1 bed property Sparks Close, Dagenham, RM8 - Landlord and hunters agent where complicit in illegal procedures regarding discrimination. We went through all the paper work and wasted 2 weeks till they call me and tell me the Landlord dont want a baby in the property. Don't trust them slow untrust worthy. And definitely dont rent the sparks close 1 bed property, Landlord seems like a handful save your self

5 years renting with no issues at all

I rented an apartment through Hunters (Otley & Ilkley) for five years and honestly had a great experience the whole time. They were always quick to reply, super easy to deal with, and sorted any issues straight away - no chasing needed. Communication with the landlord was also really smooth thanks to them.
