Everyone knows how hard it can be to deal with all problems and issues coming up here and there in our homes, but it makes a big difference when you have right people working in agencies. I have used this estate agent incompetent stafffor…

I have used this estate agent for letting my property for nearly 4 years. For the first three years, I couldn’t fault them, but the staff have Changed hands and I would not recommend them. The majority of staff are incompetent they make so many mistakes and their Fees are high. I did complain to the director and it was a waste of my time. My last tenancy agreement they failed to put in a break clause and I’m now unable to break free of them unless I give them vast amounts of money. Although I have to ride this out, I will not be using them again in the future. I do not recommend them.

Issues with marketing letters

EDIT: I have received a swift resolution to the below issue and so I have amended my review accordingly. Since reaching out to Dexters (which was lovely and helpful) I have since been bombarded by sales post. I asked to be removed from the list and yet the letters keep coming. It's roughly one a fortnight. The latest letter contains inaccurate information about my property being for sale which it is not, with an agent I've never spoken to and at a price its never been listed at. Having already tried to speak directly to them, I'm now feeling ignored and frustrated that I keep having my time wasted.

Terrible experience

The house was handed over to us in disastrous conditions regarding dirt, garbage left by the previous tenants that was never taken away, humidity on the walls, and a bad smell. After several emails completely ignored by the agency, we had to spend our own money to restore the premises to a livable condition (additional professional cleaning and purchase of a dehumidifier).During the rental period, we suffered a water leak that flooded the house. Dexter left us in these conditions for almost a month because, according to them, it was not their responsibility. When we left the house 2 months before the end of the contract out of desperation, the agency, at the end of the rental period, asked to withhold a huge amount from the deposit, accusing us of leaving the house dirty and damaged. Despite the physical and moral damages we suffered, we still cleaned the house before leaving. In conclusion, I highly recommend staying away from such people who, in addition to being unprofessional, unavailable when it comes to their responsibilities, and greedy, only care about the customer when they have to sell, abandoning them immediately after to face problems alone and only making themselves heard to collect payments.

Dexters wanted to photograph my property as I found out my property was being sold. Tried to be helpful and even wasted my lunch break getting keys cut for them, wasted an hour driving there and back to drop them off. I cleaned the night before and left in a really nice state. Still trying to be helpful, even though I am potentially losing my home. They came to take the photos and I came home from work to find all my stuff had been rifled through and my flat left a mess. Even to the point the toilet roll had been taken off the toilet roll holder and chucked on the floor? Wrote an email to complain and have been ignored. If you’re a tenant, don’t expect to be treated with any ounce of dignity or respect.

Yet again, Dexters continually disappoint. After begging me to delete my last google review, they sold my property with an immediate move in, even though my tenancy ends in March 2025. I am now being pressured to leave my tenancy early after gully furnishing an unfurnished flat. Saw the brochure today, and they never even tried to market it as tenant in situ. Illegal and degrading. UPDATE: Have sent 3 separate emails asking why the flat was listed available to move in with an active tenancy agreement. The manager Tal, is communicating with my landlord but ignoring me. Extremely suspicious behaviour.
