We've been with BPM over 10 years & can honestly say the service has always been supportive & reliable. From start to finish Darren made what can be a stressful process feel straightforward & reassuring. I have always been very impressed with the service/help I received from all of the team at BPM. Darren, in particular, was incredibly helpful when, five years ago, I needed to find somewhere to rent quickly in Lewes. Very bad experience wouldn't recommend at all we had a number of break ins to our property by someone with a key. Police where called and investigated Darren was unaware of the investigation. We also had mice in the loft with one decomposed mouse. Property was a one bed 1960s small flat. The flat was in a bad way with mould,damp and infestation. We paid for the pest control but was refunded by the council after this was not paid by the landlord. I also had to get a grant to update the fuse box as the landlord refused to pay for the copper wired fixed box from the 1960s. Property was well out dated (1960s) for environmental health needs who investigated the property and advice the landlord to update the property what was done after some pushing on our part. We moved out by our own choice as we was offered a nearly built property with more space. Our deposit wasnt returned in full it was deducted £75 for carpet cleaning what was done before had but Darren wasnt convinced we had so to get our full deposit back we had to pay £75 for the extra cleaning then we got the full deposit back. All of the cleaning requirements were made but bpm didnt believe we had even though we spent the whole weekend cleaning the property. I would strongly say we won't be using bpm with the experience we had but thats because of our dreadful experience.

This review is borderline libelous. They can't say things like "criminal bits" without justification and we have never been contacted by the Police in connection with any property in nearly 29 years. The flat was not "infested with rats" one skeleton was found of a baby mouse/rat that had clearly been there a very long time but the landlord paid the full cost of the pest control work and paid for a hole to be filled on the outside of the building, which may or may not have been where an animal could get it. The full deposit was returned to them and no deduction was made for carpet cleaning. We were never contacted by the Police regarding people allegedly entering the property and if the people were caught on CCTV why did the Police not catch anyone, we were never shown any such CCTV evidence. Would you kindly explain on what grounds you were discriminated against, the landlord was aware you were in receipt of full housing benefit and were unable to work for health reasons so that is surely the complete opposite of being discriminated against? No grant was ever obtained by the landlord and they paid for the brand new gas central heating system to be installed from scratch themselves. Please substantiate your claim that "we are well known to Environmental Health"? We do contact them when we need advice but our dealings with them on any professional level are extremely limited, this is just another wild accusation, and exaggeration, full of inaccuracies like the rest of the review.

I've rented properties managed by BPM for over seven years now and they've been consistently decent. They've been quick to address any niggles, respectful, considerate and generally professional in how they conduct themselves. I don't think you can ask for much more as a tenant.

We're new tenants in a property that Darren and his team let to us and are now managing. They have been absolutely brilliant. It is so good to be dealing with an agency that is human, and treats tenants like humans too. BPM were honest and fair during the process of letting the property, and now we've moved in have just gone out of their way to sort out some initial minor problems for us at the property. Not problems that were their fault, but problems they took full ownership of as the landlords' agents and just sorted for us, professionally and efficiently. If, one day, we're lucky enough to own a property locally to rent out, I will definitely remember BPM. Meanwhile we're looking forward to our time as tenants in a property they manage.
