GoogleWe don't think this company deserves 1 star, but we have to put one on so we can add our review!!
We were promised a quick sale when we agreed to sell our house with them, but 35 weeks is not quick in my books!! Below is a summary of our very poor experience with Suraj and Michaels Estates:
We accepted an offer on our sale but after 17 weeks of chasing and getting nowhere were advised by Suraj to go with an investor he knew who was keen to buy. However, another 4 weeks went by of chasing him only to find out that his investor was then unable to get a mortgage, something which we feel Suraj should have known about.
Luckily, our original buyers were still interested (we were a bit skeptical), but decided to go ahead again.
During the 35 weeks of selling the house to completing the sale, Suraj didn't contact us without us having to chase him. Not until the day of completion, when we received an email from him before the office had even opened asking when we would be able to let him have the keys.
Their invoice then arrived in my Inbox 10 minutes later!! Amazing how on the ball they can be when they want their money (I had instructed my solicitor not to pay them). We were then receiving phone calls all day while we were trying to pack boxes and vans which, I hasten to add, we ignored until we were ready!
We eventually told Suraj that if he wanted the keys he would have to collect them from us and within 10 minutes of putting the phone down, he was there.
We know that moving house is one of the most stressful things anybody has to deal with in their lives and having your mortgage advisor phoning everybody to make sure this sale goes through makes it even more stressful.
If you want a quick sale don't use Suraj or Michaels Estates!!!!!!

GoogleOriginally I left a 1 star review. This was down to a member of staff deciding to go off alone without my supervision or consent to do so.
I felt my PRIVACY HAD BEEN VIOLATED.
I asked to delete the footage and to rerecord whilst I was present she refused to.
She then sent it to the client.
All after I asked her to delete and rerecord it.
I have never had this happen to me where someone doing an inspection goes off on there own without asking. If she had asked I to do so I would have told I don't trust her enough to do so.
I called the office the lady on the end of the phone told me that I would get a call from the manager.
So I left a one star review.
Within 30 minutes I received a call from Suraj in regards to my review.
When I explained my experience he agreed that Dimple should have asked for permission to go off alone without my supervision to video the property.
The empathy that he showed by saying that she may have done it before to others shows that as a manger he is willing to investigate situation to gather all the information before making a decision.
In this day and age it is really refreshing to see this to admit to a mistake and fixing the mistake with an apology and re education.
Just remember as a tenant you have rights.
If someone comes to inspect your home you can ask them to stay within your line of sight.
They don't have the right to barge in and wonder around like they own it.
The 5 stars is actually for Suraj as he came across as a decent human being.

GoogleI recently used Michael’s Estates for the letting of my flat. Initially my intention was to appoint them for a tenant finding fee basis only. I was very impressed with the communication throughout the process and the fact that they managed to let the property in good time and with robust checks having taken place. I now have a good tenant in place.
One of the individuals from the Letting team approached me to discuss a fully managed service. This is something I have been reluctant to do in the past as I didn’t find it value for money. He offered me a trial option on a six months basis and I can confirm the service to date has been excellent.
