Just had a call with a an agent named Steve. Talked about viewing a property and asked earliest appointment was in 2 days. I requested if he can book the and if viewing and if anything changes I will be sure to call and rebook. His answer was, we will do it the other way round. I explained that myself and partner will be viewing, currently my partner is at work and by the time I can speak to her about it, the office would closed. Thankfully I manage to secure a booking subject to change. Seems like alot of work to book a viewing with Steve. Anyways I have already been viewing a number of properties and from my experience, the queries you have when at the property are usually noted down and given to you once the agent has sourced it from the seller, this could take a day or a few days too from my experience. To save time, I called Steve back and requested if my queries of the property can be looked into prior me coming to view property as this will save time, such as council tax band/property has water meter or not/ gas and electric providers property is with. Some times you can find this on the description page, however this is not always the case. Steve stated, this would not take.long and he could get me this information once I have viewed the property. I asked if this is the policy?, he said no, but he's not going to commit to all this work when customer has not even viewed the property. I explained that I have a viewed a few now and this can save time, also you mentioned collating this info does not take long, so I dnt see what the problem is having these answers to hand for when I come to view in 2 days. But for steve its his way or no way. I havnt even met this man and he seems like hard work. It was not an extreme request to, but just to save time. He also had the audacity to questioning my financial status in regards to how I will be purchasing this property and from my response, which was I have options of either keeping my own property aswell as purchasing another, but want to see how this would work. He had the nerve to say "if he had pound for everytime he heard that". Anyways because of steve, the business lost a potential sale. Steve is bad publicity.
