GoogleThe overall design of the flats is serviceable but very limiting, especially since they come furnished and you’re essentially stuck with Leodis Square’s poor choices. Some of these choices simply aren’t practical for long‑term living: cream carpets that stain easily, fully white bathrooms that never stay clean, and a noticeable lack of plug sockets in the living area. Storage is minimal, kitchen cupboard space is limited, and there’s no fridge‑freezer provided, just a small fridge with a tiny freezer compartment, so we had to buy our own freezer. Even the balcony design feels poorly thought out, acting as a constant wind trap with no protection, making it impossible to keep it looking nice.
After over six years here, I requested a corner sofa (which even some one‑bed flats have), but was told I should have asked at the start of my contract, despite never being told this was an option. That’s been a recurring theme: Leodis Square only seems willing to help when it benefits them financially. When my key fob casing finally broke apart after years in my pocket, they immediately tried to charge £15 for a replacement, even though I still had the old one. It took negotiation just to get a fair outcome. The building is advertised as pet‑friendly, but this is restricted to only the first two floors, and when I asked why pets weren’t allowed on mine, the only explanation was simply “no.”
Facilities look good on paper but don’t hold up in practice. The gym is decent but often too busy to use. The included internet is unreliable, drops out frequently, and requires device registration that doesn’t work with all devices, I eventually had to pay for my own provider, yet there’s no option to opt out of the building’s service. Resident events sound great but are usually limited to around a small group of people (think i saw an event limited to 8 people before) and book up instantly; posters go up in the lift and everything is already fully booked. There’s no system to give others a fair chance.
The concierge is hit‑and‑miss. While it adds some parcel security, the parcel room door is often left propped open with no staff at reception, which defeats the purpose. Some staff are helpful, but many seem disengaged, and can be sat on their phones or having personal conversations on them. Especially night staff who often appear to be watching films or half‑asleep. Security overall is questionable, bikes have been stolen and cars broken into in the car park.
On the positive side, noise between flats is minimal, the location is excellent for getting into Leeds, and there’s generally a friendly vibe among residents. But rent has increased over the last two years “to be in line with other flats,” without any improvements or upgrades to justify it. Seemingly, there's a constant theme of flats trying to push the prices up until it is now verging on unaffordability. Despite rarely using maintenance and taking good care of the flat, any issue reported is treated as an opportunity to charge, with little consideration for general wear and tear.
Ultimately, Leodis Square promotes a sense of “community,” but in reality it feels like a business focused on maximising profit rather than supporting long‑term residents. The design limitations, inconsistent facilities, and management decisions make it clear that renters are expected to pay more each year while receiving nothing additional in return.

GoogleThis was our first real home in the UK! We stayed at Dandara Living for around 3 years, and it was simply one of the best places we've ever lived. The staff and the residents are incredibly friendly, creating a great community vibe. The apartments come fully furnished with high-quality furniture, and the rent conveniently covers both the internet and the on-site gym. They also provide a really nice communal working space.
I 100% recommend this building to anyone looking for a safe, secure space near Leeds city centre. My only advice: check to see if direct sunlight reaches your specific balcony before signing, as a few apartments don't get direct sun. Overall, a fantastic experience!

GoogleI’ve been living here for over three years, and it’s been a great experience overall.
The location is ideal for professionals who need an easy commute to the city centre or the train station, while still enjoying a quieter environment away from the noise.
The receptionist team truly stands out as they’re always friendly and do their best to accommodate whatever residents need.
The building amenities are another highlight, especially the gym facilities, which are well-maintained and convenient.
I also really appreciate the sense of community, with events like neighbour gatherings and yoga classes that make it easy to connect with others.
It’s a well-balanced place to live, combining comfort, convenience, and community.

GoogleI am rating this as someone who was a potential renter. I took the tour and it was lovely. I would have definitely considered living here if it wasn't for a big factor for me. The fridge/freezer is EXCEPTIONALLY small. The guide told us they might have a spare of two extra freezers to lend if we did move in, but that it would sit on the counter tops. I couldn't deal with that as the counter tops are already the minimum amount for me. Basically it's one of those really small fridges and the inside has a small enclosed shelf that is supposed to be the freezer. There is no way two people could possibly use that. Not unless you're only eating ready-made meals every day. Other than that, the entire place was lovely. The staff seemed friendly as well. Advice for the owners of these flats: get bigger fridges and a separate freezer. There is no excuse really.

GoogleWould give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely appalled by the way this management company operates. From the moment I moved in, it was clear that tenants are treated as nothing more than a source of income, with little to no care for their experience or wellbeing.
The flats are incredibly small, overpriced, and receive very little natural sunlight. You’re paying premium prices for a subpar living experience.
The communal spaces are poorly maintained and dirty, with little effort made to improve the standard of living for residents.
There were ongoing issues with homeless individuals sleeping directly outside the entrance, creating a safety concern that management completely ignored.
Upon moving out, the management company have attempted to unfairly deduct money from our deposit for wear and tear, which is illegal. They initially conducted the end of tenancy inspection before our tenancy had even officially ended, without informing us or providing notice. We had to fight to have it cancelled and redone after our professional cleaning service (which they recommended) had been completed.
Even after professional cleaning, they are still attempting to charge us for additional carpet cleaning and a full redecoration, despite the fact that minor marks and scuffs are expected wear and tear. They also failed to conduct an inventory check when I moved in, meaning they had no legitimate baseline for comparison. On top of that, because we no longer had access to the property, we were not even able to collect our own photographic evidence to dispute their claims.
Throughout my tenancy, raising any concerns with this company was a constant battle. You’re advised to use the ‘portal’ which doesn’t work despite escalating this numerous times.
I could go on.. the water pressure is laughable, hob barely works, same for the fridge.
Avoid renting from this company at all costs. They are unprofessional, unresponsive, and will do everything possible to withhold your deposit at the end of your tenancy. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

GoogleBeen trying to get my deposit back for the past month and keep getting Ignored. £1200 is a lot of money to be waiting for! All they have to do is release it from the TDS but apparently that's too difficult..
Dodgy and incompetent company. Nice flats but be prepared for hassle and excuses.

GoogleExcellent place to live in Leeds. Perfect location (train station, Granary Wharf/ canals, and Wellington Place all really close), great balconies, amazing gym, and a super helpful management team (especially the site manager, James Kennedy, who went above and beyond for us many times- definitely deserves a special mention).
We're lucky enough to be able to live anywhere in Leeds really, but we moved from a lower apartment to another that was higher up because we love it so much here. Would highly recommend!

GoogleI’ve had a pleasant experience living here since last year. The gym facilities are great, parcel room is convenient and outdoor space on my balcony is very useful. Moving in was easy with utilities set up for me and Sabrina was very helpful finding me a flat. It has a nice communal feel and I’ve made great friends with my neighbours. Highly recommend

GoogleLived here for three years! Perfect for travel into the city. Very sound proof apartments. The building reception was always so clean and well kept. Gym on site made life so much easier. The opening of the cafe downstairs really helped those early morning starts. Highly recommend if Leeds is where you want to be! The staff from day 1 have been amazing aswell

Googleapartments are ok. good proximity to the city centre.
Be warned they will do anything to try keep your deposit, they won't bother emailing you when you move out, it is on you to chase. Watch where they keep your deposit stored as well, ours is shown on that is was secured 4 years after we moved in and they actively chose to ignore us when chasing up to get the deposit back as they know they are in breach of the housing law.

GoogleReally wanted to live here. No pet policy available on website to view. Website uses plural when stating 'pets'. Spoke to a member of staff who informed me only one pet/dog per apartment. Really disappointing as I have a very small dog and a medium sized dog. Will look elsewhere.

GoogleIf I could give 0 stars then I absolutely would. Absolute disgrace. lived here for a whole year, the communal areas were always filthy, never got notifications for the parcel room and best of all, they have completely ignored all correspondence regarding distribution of the deposit. Sent over £1000 back to the wrong person (an ex flatmate) even after multiple times of me giving the correct details to multiple different staff members at Dandara and even with the deposit having originally come from my account. No communication and fobbed off with different excuses when trying to contact to find out where the money was...to find out it has been sent to the wrong account 10 days ago. Disgusting. I now cannot get hold of the money as I am no longer in contact with the other party and have lost all the money I paid.

GoogleApartments are very nice and energy efficient. But there is a lot of noise both from outside especially during weekends and from neighbours all the time. Both the apartment opposite to me and next to me had parties all the time, best was a week with parties 4 nights in a row from Monday to Friday. Tenant services did nothing. Also they don’t really serve you very well, there was a period when their phones didn’t work for like a week, I had to eventually go and stand next to them in the lobby to get a tenant reference for a new place, they didn’t show up for the last inspection as agreed and I needed to contact several times to get my deposit back. Also, you have no flexibility over the furniture, so I had to work in the kitchen even if I had an extra bedroom. And no parking. And apparently the rule about no dogs over 15kg only applies when they feel like it. But good for short periods if you need a place close to the city centre.

GoogleOverall an excellent accomodation.
Pros
5* for location, close to the motorway and very close to the station (around 10 mins walk).
Majority of the residents are young professionals who are very pleasant and good neighbours to have
Staff are excellent, helpful, and attentive.
Gym facilities are probably the best I've ever seen for an apartment complex. No need for a gym membership.
Reasonably priced - £1050 for a 2 bed flat (correct as of Feb 2022)
Fantastic balcony
Pet friendly flats
Cons:
A lot of dogs, not always leashed which is disappointing
Limited parking (£100pcm additional per space)
Many people park in inconsiderate ways around the flats
During Leeds United games a huge amount of additional vehicles come and don't park considerately
IMO flats are on the small side for 2 beds at the price point being charged, having said that they do have a fantastic balcony so this can be forgiven
Parcel room often not well maintained - not really the staff's fault more so people not collecting items and delivery men/women not placing parcels correctly
Overall verdict 9/10, excellent place to live and would strongly recommend to anyone who wants to live in the city centre!

GoogleThe apartments are nice and within a short walk to the city center and Crown point. The amenities are also nice. We had a few issues during the time we lived there and unfortunately they weren’t quickly sorted since we had to chase up on a few occasions. The wifi is included but the parking spot isn’t and most of the times it is hard to find parking around.

GoogleWould be zero stars if it were an option. Units themselves are nice enough but put up too quickly with subpar materials & appliances so you’ll have issues.
The staff in the leasing office are rude, unhelpful and lack necessary communication skills to do the job. They’ll also do anything and everything they can to withhold and delay return of your security deposit.
10/10 would NOT recommend.
